Onto the 4th list for 1988. Vote for your favorite movie from this part of this year, and, as always, explain your choice (if you like), as well as mention any other movies you might have seen on this list, below.

We will also accept Write in Votes (although, please mention it as such) for movies not included on the list I'm getting the choices off of. However, I will not remove any from the list (I can't by that point), so, if you want to make your case why a certain movie isn't a horror film, make it. Hell, you might end up swaying a few voters from going in that direction, but I can't/won't remove it from the list or DQ it.

The Serpent and the Rainbow

While Return of the Living Dead is good, the sequel is kind of stupid so not voting for that.

Serpent & the Rainbow is a solid voodoo horror from Wes Craven tale with Bill Pullman.

Slugs is awful

Tokyo: The Last Megalopolis despite inspiring M.Bison is slow and terrible.

Daffy Duck is not horror despite it being a ghost story.

The rest I haven't seen/heard of at all. Although Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama sounds amusing.

I voted serpent and the Rainbow. Daffy Duck's Quackbusters isn't horror but was one of the last movies to have the voice of Mel Blanc, Return Of the Living Dead part 2 CAN'T HOLD AN F:/#%*<G Candle to the original.

Quackbusters might not be horror but it gets my vote cause its the best movie listed here in my opinion.

I went with GHOSTHOUSE, the Italian unofficial sequel to EVIL DEAD II. It's not great, but it's my favorite out of this not-great list.

An hour and fifteen minutes to go for this one. The Serpent and the Rainbow and Return of the Living Dead Part 2 are currently tied. Will that last? Come back in 75 minutes or so to find out.

It looks like both Serpent and the Rainbow and Return of the Living Dead Part II will be going on to Round Two. It does crack me up, even though I voted for it, that the first Return of the Living Dead didn't end up winning its poll, but the goofy sequel did.

However, the first movie did have tougher competition. I mean, really, Serpent really was the only major contender, and it was a good movie. But I love ROTLD 2 more, even being kind of a goofy almost remake as much of a sequel for/to the first movie. It's a lot of fun.

The only other two other movies I've seen on this list are Quackbusters and Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama. The first is decent, but a far cry from the classic Looney Tunes cartoons. The second I caught on USA UP(!) All Night. It's pretty fun, and has the 80's Scream Queens Trinity (Linnea Quigley, Brinke Stevens and Michelle Bauer) in it. More of a Horror/Comedy than straight up horror.
