I didn't even watch the National Championship Game until the last 5 minutes of regulation (after Raw ended) because I'm really not into college basketball much, but heh.

I mean, the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship was last night as well. Still, oy vey. It is most years, last year included. Last year's Men's National Championship game was against the Mania go-home show, not the post-Mania show (although that Mania go-home show did roughly the same number of viewers as each of the three weeks that proceeded it, so who knows how much the title game hurt it).

My mistake then. Still, I'm of the opinion, "People won't watch our show if they have any alternative options!" isn't making it better.

National Championship game or not that’s pretty brutal. It’s also the same “outside factors are why the ratings are down” rationale that the industry uses to deflect the fact that people don’t want to watch their product as much as they once did

I'm sure many watched WM and thought that 7hrs is quite enough wrestling without another 3 the following night.

Vince going to go full Bischoff and hold a backstage meeting to all the talent to say that only HHH, Stephanie, Shane, Brock, & Roman have ever drawn money for the company.

Apparently half a million people either weren't interested or weren't fooled by the promise of a title unification match.

To further put the drop in perspective. This is the highest rating they’ve gotten all year. Yikes is an understatement.

Basically, nearly everyone who is interested in the WWE watched it. That just isn't as many people as it used to be. Becky and Kofi might get a few more people interested, if they're out in the media and getting mainstream attention, but the WWE is just a form of entertainment that a lot of people still don't care about.

-Lowest WM RAW viewership in 22 years. -Lowest WM RAW demos in 22 years. -Biggest WM RAW Y-Y viewership drop in 22 years. -Biggest WM RAW Y-Y demo drop in 22 years.
-First WM RAW with sub 3M viewership. -First WM RAW with H2 and H3 below 3M. -WM RAW with lowest ever hour (H3). -WM RAW with lowest ever H3.
YIKES. We might need to start a dialogue.

The RAW after Wrestlemania seems to have been a popular way to introduce new superstars or angles.
We got neither this year and it showed.

I don't see this brand split lasting much longer. Or maybe it'll be like that one time where they had the "Raw Supershow" to feature SD guys on Raw.

I really wonder just how many people are in the "I'll just skip and watch the Kofi/Becky/Bryan/Rollins/(insert another person here) stuff on YouTube" boat.

Mania was a good show but the build was so misaimed and laden with bullshit that it's clear a lot of people didn't stick around to see it or didn't get back on the horse for it. WWE's problems are so deep and systemic, and growth would take time, but I don't see them being able to hold down the fort long enough for that to happen
