Post-Mania SmackDown Viewership - Down 800K From Last Year

Did 2.199 million. Bit lower than a couple weeks ago but generally in line with what the show's been doing for months on end now, regardless of what's going on with it. Last year's was 2.95 million.

It feels to me like at this point, there are about 2.1 million people who will generally watch SmackDown and absolutely nothing WWE does can change it - it has its audience and casual / lapsed / Raw fans just plain do not care no matter what happens.

Which seems like an absolutely TERRIBLE sign for the Fox jump.

I think the move to Friday will help Smackdown a lot on the Big Four weekends. After a TakeOver, a marathon PPV and a three hour Raw, I usually feel like I’ve had my wrestling fix for a while. Now instead of Smackdown being the last leg into the post-PPV wilderness, it gets to kickoff the whole thing. That should help ratings. And if not, at least it would have a hotter crowd.

Aside from the Hardy's winning the tag titles, did anything else really happen on the show? There was about five or six times where someone attacked someone else for whatever reasons, IIconics beat jobbers, Shane talked, and Drew bailed on the main event. That's pretty much all I remember from the show.

Not exactly a great way to draw in viewers after Wrestlemania. Though I imagine the shake-up next week will probably do better for both Raw and Smackdown.

The post Mania shows have lost their appeal. There are no major surprises left to reveal anymore. A debut from NXT or something like that just isn't enough of a hook.

Almost skipped personally due to the fact that I saw Kofi and Becky on Raw. I figured that I could catch the recaps.
