This is all that damn CM Punk's fault for romanticizing the last spot on the card!

For me personally, it took a bit for me to get back into the show after Seth won. It was great to open with it and get that anxiety out of the way but I was so hyped I missed AJ/Randy damn near altogether To be fair, you didn't miss anything there.

The right match was chosen. Becky is the hottest star in the company, and has been since late last year. If the WWE hadn't made a mess of the build for the match, it would have been ridiculously hyped. But as it was, the crowd was still into it, even after seven hours.
Kofi vs Bryan could have main evented, in another year. It was a great match, and a wonderful, feel-good moment. The placing on the card really helped, because the crowd still had a lot of energy.
The first women's main event was big for the company, and for the women involved. But in future, unless Wrestlemania is shortened, I don't think any wrestler in their right mind should be fighting to go on last.

The women's match was the right main event, both as a milestone and because the women's division is arguably hotter than the men's right now. If there was a year to do a women's main event without it feeling like they were shoehorning the women into the main event for the sole purpose of appearing progressive, this was the year to do it.
Second, Kofi winning was a significant milestone regardless of its placing on the card.
There will always be "X should have been the main event of WM". It goes back at least as far as WM3.

I understand her worry, but I think it all worked out correctly. Kofi/Bryan felt like a big moment and got the hotter crowd, but the Triple Threat got to make history (without being forced) and got a hell of a lot of publicity.
I saw more articles about Wrestlemania this year in the mainstream media than I ever have before (in the U.K. no less) and the leading point was the women’s main event. They never would have got that with Kofi/Bryan, even though it was generally accepted to be the better story by the time the show came around.

At this point you have to ask if it was worth it. Is it worth being in the main event or is it worth having the best match seen as the highlight this WM? Man, Meltz said that even the victory celebration for Becky wasn't supposed to be that due to what was going on, they even had to change that due to the time. That was an awkward match. Given no woman has ever Main Evented I can see why it's still worth it to those 3 even if they would have gotten bigger reactions earlier in the evening. In general anyone who has 0 WM Main Even'ts to their name I can see why that is still the spot to aim for since it solidifies a person as a main event status/made person in the company forever.

It should've been...*shrugs* Agreed Wouldn't you want a hot crowd for your biggest match, though? After 7 hours, even that would've suffered a bit from going on last due to the fatigued crowd.

A women's WrestleMania main event had been in place for at least a year before - when Charlotte beat Asuka and Ronda debuted last year then it was clear we were headed there. What changed of course was the emergence of Becky, but without her it was pretty clear WWE were going for the publicity of the all-female Mania main event regardless.
In a "normal" year then the heat of Bryan vs. Kofi would probably have closed the show (or Roman, as is tradition) but this year there was no doubt at all what was closing the show, and given how great Becky has been this year then I have no problem with how things went, despite the WWE title match being the match of the night.

I think Kofi was maybe hotter at the time but Becky had been hotter for longer and earned it before Kofi got hot. It was a good choice getting Kofi's win done before Reigns/Drew and Trips dragged the crowd down into the earth's molten core.

To the women's credit, the crowd was into their match from what I could tell watching on TV. Not as hot as they should've been, but after 7 damn hours getting that kind of interest is still something to be a little proud of. But yeah, if WM is going to be this damn long, it's for the best to want to go on first. The crowd was into it at the show
People were singing Becky song and booing Charlotte and Ronda but the fatigue was real at that point
You can only give out as much energy you can after being there 7 hours
The group in front of us, thought Charlotte was in the helicopter that was flying over us. They were trying to wave it down... they were also very much inebriated.

Yea, me and my group started laughing when the helicopter flew over us but the fact you can tell the camera shots were ass and the fact the helicopter landing was happening on camera while it was still in the air in real life had us dying We were a bit drunk too lol

Except Miz losing on a preshow to Santino just over a year later, but honestly Miz was barely even in that match.

The right match main evented and the right woman won.
But the right finish? Nah. Ronda should have tapped. That was the climax to the story and they blew it.
