I’m absolutely floored this game isn’t blowing up in this forum. It’s fun as hell, great story and with renewed interest in Star Wars thanks to Mandalorian and the pending release of Rise of Skywalker, this should be more popular that it is. My mind is boggled. It's actually good? Really? With EA attached, I preducted it would look great but be mediocre. Yes! I’m only about five hours and two planets in, but digging the exploration, the story, the characters. It’s very good!

Just bought it and played it for a few hours. I dig it. Sometimes the combat could be a bit to wonkey sometimes or maybe I’m playing to agree so even like a sith

Glad to see so many positive reviews around. I’m finishing up Days Gone and will most likely pick Fallen Order up next.

Based on good reviews I'll have to add this to my backlog.
I mean I own still haven't played Witcher 3, Spider-Man, God of War or more than 10 minutes of Horizon Zero Dawn so.....yeah I've got a backlog.

Like I said before, it's Respawn.
For all of EA's....EA-Ness, they're one of the few parts of EA that hasn't stepped a foot wrong so far.
I'm looking forward to playing it at some point.

I'll get it sometime. It's just that EA has salted the earth to the point that I don't trust any pre-launch hype. I don't trust any pre-launch reviews that are all bought and paid for by EA. I only trust end users after about a month's worth of scouring every aspect of the game. Saved me a lot of money with Battlefront 2 and Anthem. It's the New Way to Play!
This one looks like it might pass as a good game from EA. A rare event these days.
I was a "pre-order launch day play" kinda guy for many years. No more.

I'm loving this so far, the exploration and the combat (once you have it down) is so much fun.

Damn, yeah I would say play Spider-Man, God of War, and Horizon as your main titles and Witcher 3 as your "breather". Meaning, Witcher is a big ass game and you can easily boot that up and just explore shit without doing missions and still have fun. Those other games are open world too but you you can navigate them easier. 2018 was a fun year to go from God of War, to Spiderman, to Red Dead

This one looks like it might pass as a good game from EA. A rare event these days. I was a "pre-order launch day play" kinda guy for many years. No more. Jim Sterling is about the last person I'd say is bought by EA, as the only companies I think he's been more vicious towards is Acti-Blizzard and maybe Ubisoft. Even in his Jedi: Fallen Order review video, he takes a few potshots at EA commenting on how sad it is when "it's just a video game" is something that's considered high praise in this day and age of Triple A exploitation and monetization. And he liked it. Only quibbles he really had is that the game was pretty glitchy and had some amusing AI fail moments (I imagine that can be addressed in patches), and that fights with the various Star Wars beasts are not nearly as fun as the fights against humanoid opponents like Stormtroopers and Purge Troopers. He also wish the combat system was more Devil May Cry and less Dark Souls.
Otherwise, yeah, outside of expansions for games I already play or some indie games I'm really looking forward to, I don't blind buy anymore. Especially not for Triple A games from infamous publishers like EA or Take 2.

Picked it up and played for a couple hours. Really dig it so far. Loving the characters (I also need a BD-1 to go along with Baby Yoda) and it feels like Star Wars.
Now I just need to get used to the flow of combat. I never played a Soulsbornekeiroshabadoo game before.

Ok, so I like this game a lot. The planet designs, the graphics, the characters, the scale are all so much fun. One of the more beautiful games to just look at. I can also say that I have never rage quit a game so many times as I have this one. I have lost count of how many times I will progress through a large chunk of the map, die, and then respawn all the way back at the last checkpoint and have to go through all the same enemies again. And just to put the cherry on the sundae, I am stuck on the second planet for a very very long time. All I wanted to do was get off it. I finally do, I go to the next mission, it's a great time, then at the end of it, guess what? I HAVE TO GO BACK TO THAT SAME DAMN PLANET I WAS STUCK ON!?!? GO SCREW YOURSELF JEDI: FALLEN ORDER!!
Maybe I am just not cut out for this kind of game, but I refuse to just full on quit it.

I just got this for Christmas so I'll give it a go soon.
Of course I got God of War for last Christmas and still haven't played it so soon is aspirational.

It helps a lot but I still had some challenge with it I did lower the difficulty once already. The size of these maps can be confusing too. I've gotten lost several times already. I'd like to see a mini map to at least show up on the HUD so I know at least a general direction to go in.

The only thing I really don’t like about this game is how it keeps forcing the double-bladed lightsaber on me. I’m a single blade guy all the way.

Got it for Christmas. Finished today.
Great game. It felt Star Wars, the planets were large and fun to explore, the story was good.
My only fault, a quick travel feature would be great for when it comes to unlockables. Theres a few areas I can now get too with new abilities but couldnt be arsed going through the whole map and back again.

I will say {Spoiler}That part when Vader shows up and you can't even touch him, he wipes the floor with Cal and you just barely get away is almost worth the entire price of the game alone.
