Oh, goodie. Ring of Honor is going to get even better and better.
/sarcasm
And, again; even though the article says Bully Ray and Joey Mercury are phasing out Delirious, does Bully Ray's philosophy of just bringing in anyone that was popular years ago for the sake of it actually will be better than Delirious's philosophy of never striking while the iron is hot out of fears of a talent raid? Sounds like the exact same thing if you dig deep.

Delirious hasn't been great, but Bully and Mercury taking over will accelerate the death of ROH. Bringing in more ex-WWE/TNA talent that aren't known to be strong wrestlers is not a good sign at all.

Delirious hasn't been great, but Bully and Mercury taking over will accelerate the death of ROH. Bringing in more ex-WWE/TNA talent that aren't known to be strong wrestlers is not a good sign at all. It's almost as if Bully Ray learned too much from Hulk Hogan during his time in TNA, and none of this is for the betterment of the industry. I mean, Hogan did this crap back in 1994 with WCW, where after he came in, he gunned for all his buddies to show up and guys like Vader, Cactus Jack, Austin, Pillman, and more were phased out by the Nasty Boys, Beefcake, Honky Tonk Man, Jim Duggan, and the rogue's gallery of the Rock 'n' Wrestling Era. Look at Starrcade 1994; the WCW Tag Team Championship was not contested on that show because the champions at the time were Del Wilkes (the Patriot) and Buff Bagwell, who were NOT Hogan buddies, and then the main event was Hogan vs. the Butcher, who was Ed Leslie (fka Beefcake, fka Dizzy Hogan, fka Eddie Hogan, fka Eddie Golden). And then you look at TNA 2010, and... obviously, you can just look that up on YouTube or search up results more easily to see how the hell that turned out. Christopher Daniels being jobbed out to Sean Morley and Abyss becoming the Green Lantern in the first few months alone says it all. ROH doesn't even have the luxury of a major network that TNA did; it's syndicated on whatever networks that Sinclair has, and Sinclair changes its mind on whatever it wants to use for commercial means for things that aren't its primary focus (i.e. politics, which I won't go further into) on a frequent basis. ROH's inconsequential television programming was briefly put on Comet TV for markets that did not have a Sinclair affiliate in the beginning of 2016, but they took that off Comet (along with MST3K, which was arguably the most popular thing they put on that network) by the end of 2016. Bully Ray is expecting all of this "shock value" will impact social media to get people to buy the iPPVs, which realistically, is the only times these stars are only going to work. Do you expect any of them to work the TV tapings?

I think the biggest question coming out of this whole thing is this:
When did Joey Mercury leave WWE?

The moment Velvet Sky wins the WOH title, might as well throw the belt to the trash can....

The moment Velvet Sky wins the WOH title, just throw the belt to the trash can.... ... THAT would be the moment?

I always hear about how Joey Mercury is like one of the smartest guys in wrestling. Maybe in time ROH will demonstrate that but right now it looks like they're doing ROH more harm than good.

Mercury pushing for some of his trainees doesn't bug me, the company definitely needs new blood. Bully Ray's input is more troubling.
Also, real f***ing shocker ROH resists change in production, it's only been their most dated, weak area for years. The show looks amateurish, and it does not need to.

Hilarious to think there's heat on people who helped make All In happen like they they were supposed to know AEW was a possibility. Ring of Honor trying desperately to be some kind of permanent destination thing is a joke and they're falling into the same shit TNA's finally gotten past now with that. They put all their eggs in a basket, the basket left, they're mad now at everyone else because the basket left. Typical.

Yeah, I'm really interested what they mean by shifts in production, because that's definitely been the company's main weak point for ages. And also agreed: I don't mind people bringing in folks they're familiar with/trained/etc., but MSG really did feel like it had Bully's fingerprints all over it, given what he was saying on the radio and in interviews leading up to that show plus his girlfriend being brought in. Bully's no dummy with regards to how to draw heat and build feuds and what have you, but the angles and handling of things at MSG just really seemed to indicate not having fingers on the pulse of the current non-WWE wrestling scene in the US and not being able to read a room by booking heat-building angles during a show where you knew the bulk of the crowd would be there to see a more straightforward NJPW style show.

ROH needs to tread very carefully these days. The original "super indy" lost that stature a long time ago and has been struggling to find a unique identity for years now. If they go the route of recruiting heavily from WWE and TNA alumni, they're going to end up in trouble.

I'm not really up on ROH, haven't watched it in years, but even I know that bringing in Enzo & Cass, Velvet Sky & Angelina Love, and Bully Ray being a big influence is not was this company needs lol

Wait until someone in Allure wins the WOH title and all three are recognized as the champ. That'll be like Bubba and Lizard Man's middle ground.
