I mean, Rey's a former champion, so there's no issue of credibility there, three of the others have been NXT champion, and Ricochet's probably the resident "Shelton Benjamin's going to do some crazy shit" out of the group, though Cesaro's also filling that spot. Lars is the biggest "wait, why" out of this group. I mean, I get why they're high on him. He's frightening and pretty good in the ring. There aren't many credible big dudes on SDL either. Yeah, I know, it should be Luke Harper. I'm not going to get into his real life shittiness. It's been thoroughly covered. I'm more talking about from the standpoint of, how many matches has he even had on TV? |

If they let Drew actually do what he can do he'll be pretty damn awesome in this match...
but the same can be said for Andrade, Ricochet, and Cesaro.
Rey is cool and hopefully his knees don't explode again... but he should be good here too...
Not sure how Black's style fits with it and... Lars is Lars...

Rey is cool and hopefully his knees don't explode again... but he should be good here too... Not sure how Black's style fits with it and... Lars is Lars... I'm not sure if the general opinion on here would change, but I'm positive that Drew would be getting good crowd responses if he were a babyface. He can do some bonkers stuff for a dude his size, but he has to rein it in as a heel. I also think his promo style suits the fiery babyface type character really well. |

I'm not sure if the general opinion on here would change, but I'm positive that Drew would be getting good crowd responses if he were a babyface. He can do some bonkers stuff for a dude his size, but he has to rein it in as a heel. Yeah, I am not really a Drew fan too much, but he can shine in these kinds of things. I'm actually totally fine with him being in the match, I just really am not excited about if he gets the case. |

In story, none of them really deserve a chance to be #1 contender. MITB is meant to skip the number 1 contender process
It's the reason why guys like Swagger and Corbin fell right back down after winning it

Hate when that happens!  But yeah, alignment kind of goes out the window in these type of matches. He's gonna do some stuff. This has real potential to be as good as that North American championship ladder match. |

Lars hasn't even had an actual match on TV but he is gonna be in a match that could directly lead him winning the WWE title.

That is a horrifically bad lineup, especially given it'd probably be won by Lars or Drew.
Full disclosure I think I'd actually rather Lars win it than McIntyre. And that's saying a lot. Mostly boils down to I keep hoping they'll finally give up on McIntyre but am not convinced they're ever going to while in regards to Lars it's completely obvious they'll be dropping his push sooner rather than later regardless.

As much as I like Black and Richochet they aren't going to win nor should they right now. Everybody else is a pretty unappealing choice imo.

Well, there was the one time MITB 2016's lineup was leaked, and we ended up losing Kalisto in the build. Maybe the same can happen to Lars.

He's been in better shape nowadays, though I am a little curious if he's healthy, just since I remember speculation he was hurt at 'Mania and that was why he was beat so fast. Guess all they really need him to do is some 619s or something. |
