Because it's cool to see an Emmy and share joy in your co-worker's accomplishment. This isn't weird. But none of her coworkers seemed to think it was cool? So what? That's their malfunction, not her's.

What's tasteless about sharing the joy of winning an Emmy? She earned that. She wasn't flaunting it and taunting it like a schoolyard child, she earned it a trophy for her hard work. In such a brass ring-grabby show-off work environment, that should be the exact type of expression one would want. It's an act that was gaudy and worthy of derision. I have years of professional theatre experience and have been a part of many production meetings. If the playwright had proudly set a Tony (for a different piece of work, not associated with the production) on the table, the company would have thought it absurd and the artistic director would most certainly have had a talk with him. It's just not something you do. And I have years of professional film, television, radio and music experience where Oscars, Emmys and various music awards have been brought into meetings and been celebrated. It's something you do.

I’ve changed my mind. I didn’t realize the Daytime Emmy’s were just on Sunday. She literally just won it. I understand her being excited, maybe some people asked her to bring it in, who knows. But, there is something to be said for the “act like you have won something before” as well. No, there's not. Come on now.

Fair enough. Maybe it's the old man in me or that I try to behave modestly but to me it lacks decorum. It's all good though. Except Raw.

There are plenty of people like that. I said I changed my mind because she just won it and is probably still super buzzed, but I can still see how some people might think displaying it on the table at a production meeting might be a little much.

I picture Kevin Dunn just standing there staring at the thing for like 40 minutes straight with cold, dead eyes.

Most of the writing team are former TV writers so a little bit of professional jealousy makes sense I guess. Probably sent this story out to take a little shot at her and didn't expect much in return.

How hard is it to be happy for someone who did something good? Or at the very least, ignore them if you’re want to be a petty little bitch?
Good for her. Get out there with ya bad self?
