I love him, and yes in a gay way.

I think Vince has successfully compartmentalized business Vince McMahon from family Vince McMahon.
One is an absolute lunatic that would be horrible to work for or with, the other is a family man and doting grandfather.
I think he just assumes one will even out the other, but given that he routinely screws with the livelihood of others in the name of "business" I'll have to say that he's ultimately a selfish and psychotic human being with a silver-lining here and there.

like him or hate him. He's one guy I would love to come out with an autobiography. I think some of the responses in this thread show why that would be largely pointless. People have long since made up their minds about Vince, and nothing short of a full mea culpa would suffice.

Most of his foibles come from his generation and his upbringing, had he not inherited his fathers company he'd be one of those 'Florida men' you hear about on the news.

He's one of the most important people in wrestling history, and there is no sound argument to the contrary. Now, there's a lot of good and bad to that, but there is no discussion to be had about the evolution of professional wrestling without him coming up, and that's obviously impressive.
I have very mixed feelings about Vince. His best days are far behind him now, and I think he ought to ride off into the sunset with some dignity, but part of me will miss the crazy son of a bitch.

I don't care about their personal lives, what they want to say and do or believe is on them. As long as they entertain me, that's what I'm interested in. And I personally find Vince to be very entertaining. whether I like or dislike what he's done. It still gets my focus and I usually want to hear more. lol That said, somebody writing down stories from Vince's mind has me very intrigued.

I don’t love him, but I don’t hate him either. Which basically sums up how I feel about most people in the business.

My view on Vince MacMahon changed a lot over the years. I used to think of him as just purely a great performer with some odd personality quirks. Then the more I read about him, the darker my imagine of him became. Now I think of him as a legitimate criminal psychopath who will probably never be brought to justice for his predatory behaviour.

He didn't run anyone out of business, they either self-destructed or were just outright canceled. He had no hand in either. I don't think this is strictly true. He signed the stars out of all of the territories. Oh I wasn't referring to the territory days, of which he outright butchered, I was speaking more to the popular notion that he honestly believes he ran WCW and ECW out of business. He didn't.

I've often said that Vince is somehow both the best and the worst at times. There are as many stories that make you like the crazyhead as much as there are stories that make you infuriated with him... But there's just been so many of the latter lately that we're close to completely losing lovable eccentric Vince and only having out of touch stubborn ass Vince left.

Vince is somebody who you'd probably be ok with outside of work, like that old neighbor of yours or a relative, just somebody like that. If it comes to work, business, jobs, just more serious things in relation to money and how you make a living he's probably one of the absolute worst.

I whole heartedly agree with this. When I first made this thread, it was after reading those eccentric Vince stories, but after that PWI thread I’m kind of leaning to the other side. As a Chicago blackhawks fan, it reminds me when the previous owner had to die and then we started winning championships. I’m not gonna lie though, the poll results kind of make me sad

We're mad at Vince because we love what he has pioneered. He's out of touch and needs to step down.

I've used this quote from Foley's first(?) book before, but it bears repeating: Vince is a cross between Satan and one hell of a guy.

I’ve only ever loved family and friends. Vince is a stranger to me so no. I never met the guy. I’ve only seen him on television or heard stories. I appreciate the entertainment he’s provided for me. Especially during my childhood. Not so much now but it’s not his job to personally entertain me either.

No. Too complicated for me to love. But I respect his achievements.
On one hand, he’s perhaps the greatest (or most successful at least) wrestling promoter of all time, and he was a key part of my childhood in many respects. He also assaulted women and has a Santa-sized list of immoral businesses decisions.

Not saying that I wouldn’t be surprised if it happened, but now true are those allegations, and how many has he had? I heard about the Rita chatterson one or whatever but was there good evidence on that?
