How big was Stu Hart as a wrestler in his day? I feel like 98% of the times he's brought up, it's about him being a trainer/father.

As an amateur, he qualified for the Olympics, but that was the year the event was cancelled due to WW2 erupting. As a pro, I'd say - and those with more knowledge, feel free to correct me - he enjoyed a strong midcard with stints as a main eventer here and there, getting matches with Gagne and Thesz at various points. Meltzer calls him the biggest territory star to have never won a major championship, but it's telling that of all the accolades he has on his Wikipedia page, only one is an actual title belt, and that was a tag strap.

Santo and Hijo del Santo was my first thought. Hijo del Santo has done nothing on his own and just cashed in on Santo’s reputation and legacy because he owns the trademark. Eddie Guerrero also wrote on his book that you had to actually shoot on the guy because he was uncooperative.

Eddie Guerrero also wrote on his book that you had to actually shoot on the guy because he was uncooperative. He was very successful, though. He was the biggest draw in Mexico from 1984 to 1989 and also helped draw big crowds in Los Angeles. He helped usher in more high flying in lucha libre. He had the legendary feud with Negro Casas. He absolutely profited off his father's name. That's obvious.
