We all know about the classic WWF vignettes of the 80s-90s to introduce wrestlers coming to the WWF soon, but when did they really begin? The Andre Documentary has a vignette of Andre as a lumberjack which dates to the early 60s, were there ones even older than that? I have heard that territories used to just show video footage of wrestlers to introduce them, but those are different that doing skits like the ones we know of.

They need to bring these back.
I know they’re doing it with Wyatt but I just love a good “COMING SOON” vignette.

Kamala debuted with a skit in Memphis that was shot in Jerry Jarrett's backyard in the early or mid 80's. I never saw it though I'd love to since I've heard a lot about it.
I hated vignettes as a kid, even back then I was about less talk, more wrestling. I wanted them to just debut already. Now I have an appreciation for them.
