I hated the original version, but after actually seeing the angle unfold, I can sort of get behind this. I saw guys I haven’t seen in months actually on tv fighting over something like it was important. Also, seeing various tweets and backstage stuff, this could be fun if it’s something the wrestlers can play with on their own without Vince’s writing and unfolds in random backstage Wwe videos and random twitter timelines
I will give this a chance

At the very least, it gives some guys something to do.

So far it's been fun, but I'm just hoping they don't have the title change hands on social media because it'd be very easy to lose track of who the champion is and then lose interest like it was with the Hardcore Title towards the end. Keep the title changes on TV and we'll be good.

Should have just been like the WCW TV title where they defend it once a week and a large selection of wrestlers get a shot for it. This idea is dumb and makes the title kind of worthless. What's the benefit of holding a title like this?

I wish it was a TV title instead. I want a title match every week on Raw.
Plus, imagine the rub a wrestler would get by saying he’s held it and defended it every week for 72 weeks? Massive.
I did like the 24/7 rule and I’m KINDA glad it’s back. But the magic of this before was that it was Hardcore. So you had guys hitting each other with trash cans and stop signs and stuff... the possibilities were endless and were great for comedy moments. They’re not gonna do that now... they won’t allow them to even make it LOOK like they’re hit each other on the head.
Plus the Hardcore title was literally a piece of trash lol. So it was funny seeing all these guys scramble for what was essentially a garbage belt.

There's no reason they couldn't book the US or IC title this. I miss the days of strong mid-card champs that would defend their titles regularly on TV again a wide range of other mid and lower card guys, able to put them over in the process by making them look like legit contenders.

Cena did the Open Challenge and it was GREAT. Honestly seeing his matches with Zayn, Neville, Owens and Styles won me over on Cena. I’ve always hated his matches for the most part... but his “veteran who mixes it up with the Indy guys” run changed my mind about him.

They should throw random nonsense and Easter eggs into the inevitable group chase scenes. For instance have them all chase a guy off camera only for all of them to coming running back being chased by Jason Voorhees or something equally as dumb. Pay Usain Blt a stupid amount of money to steal the belt and sprint away. Etc.
There’s no longevity with this deal though.

In the age of social media, it has a lot of potential - guys collaborating and posting videos where they're hunting each other, title changes on Instagram stories, posting from 'undisclosed locations' because they're scared to go out in public. If the WWE gives people free reign on this, it could end up being fun. But it still only has a fairly short longevity before people get bored of the format.

I like the concept of the 24/7 Title, and fully expect to enjoy most of the shenanigans and stories it will have.
I think very audible murmur of disappointment was a 1-2 punch of: Overhyped thinking it was going to be the return of the Hardcore or TV Title or whatever else title, and the shitty looking belt. If they opened the show with the exact same announcement with zero hype it probably would have gotten over a little better. Although you'd still have a garbage looking title.
