What incarnation of Becky Lynch do you prefer? I feel as great as she can be on the mic as "The Man" I actually preferred her as the underdog previous. I know she had to evolve and change. But I still have a soft spot for Becky's previous incarnation.

I'm not even that much into the man but it's way better. I mean I do miss her coming out to the steampunk stuff and headbanging though.

I think what it is with me is I do like "The Man" its very Conor McGregor. Its a great character, but one of the best things about Becky Lynch previously was how adorably endearing she was and with this new character she cant really show that trait, I guess I just miss that.

I prefer Becky being a character she's clearly comfortable being rather than all the awkward bells and whistles they threw on her for years.

I think her previous character (pun-loving funster on the surface who deep down had integrity and always fought for what was right) had more depth and nuance, but the newer guise (egotistical ‘badass’) resonated more widely, though I think her character work was best before she got turned face.
I would also argue she’s been helped greatly by being booked as almost unstoppable for the last year (even before her character change, given she beat Charlotte clean before MITB 2018 then had a long winning streak afterwards) which made it truly feel like she ‘backs up everything she says’. In that time she got pinned twice (Summerslam where she beat up Charlotte afterwards, MITB where it took two matches and interference) and tapped once (Asuka at the Rumble where it got erased 90 min later by her winning the Rumble on one leg and Asuka then disappearing from TV for weeks) and won even when I thought it hurt the storytelling (the Beat the Clock challenge before Mania felt like a great chance to highlight Ronda as a threat for Becky to overcome but instead had Becky winning easily even despite Charlotte interference.) I’m curious how long it continues.

I'll say underdog Becky because like just about every other babyface, it's more fun to root for her when she's the chaser. I do appreciate that she's both a mix of her old self and her current The Man character right now.

In my opinion, Underdog Becky is more likeable and relatable. "The Man" is nothing more than a ripoff of someone else that I don't really care for, Conor McGregor. Originally, I thought that I liked "The Man" character, but I was mistaken. What I actually liked was that Becky was getting a much deserved push.

The Man because it’s Becky where she should be. On top of the Women’s division.

They took someone who was one of my favorite people on the roster and made her an unlikeable blowhard.
So definitely not "The Man".

I liked both, but I'm giving the edge to "The Man."

Always like Becky. She peaked last fall. She's been kind of cringe worthy since just after the Rumble honestly.

I liked both but i'm going to go with "The Man" because I got sick of everyone turning against her and her always coming up short post the first smackdown inaugural champ run. The Man at least is going to make damned sure no one stabs her in the back and doesn't care if you're a face or heel if you have what she wants. Becky Balboa is probably my favorite version though since that's the version that really started her rise to becoming "the Man" while still being a retaining a bit of her goofball punster ways

I like the blending of the two she's been doing the past few months.

I like that some of goofy Becky returned to The Man character this year, but I do miss the steampunk goggles and entrance.

I like the blending of the two she's been doing the past few months. That’s where I’m at. It’s all well and good to be ornery and salty during the chase, because it was a long and arduous chase, but once you get the prize (especially the way she got it, nobody period had ever won two titles in the main event of WrestleMania*, let alone a woman), acting the same to those who are now chasing you makes you paranoid at best and a bully at worst. *Ultimate Warrior at WM6 won the WWF Championship and retained the IC Championship he already had, Triple H at WM18 and Daniel Bryan at WM30 won one world championship that was being represented by two physical belts

Honestly...
The Man circa late 2018/pre-Royal Rumble 2019. She was killing it then.

I find The Man more relatable. Feel more of who Becky really is is there. The Underdog is cute and all, but not much daylight between her and Bayley to be honest with that character.
But I’m biased. She’s My Man, you know. Guys from Davenport be damned.
