Not sure how much traction this'll get but it interests me so hey ho.
Been trying to do a bit of research ahead of the Summerslam week of shows.
So far my biggest take away has been that most wrestling promotions have incredibly bad websites.
Thinking about it, it's not just indies either. I really hate the current iteration of wwe.com. Granted it'd be a nightmare to try to put together the architecture on that thing with the amount of content they're trying to push.
Full disclosure, I design websites for a living so I might be more anal about websites than others.
I get that a site might not be the most important aspect of a wrestling company, but the same principles that apply to any other business surely still apply. Your site is your public face, if it doesn't look credible, you don't look credible.
So, any examples of a really great wrestling organisation website? What do you like about your example?

Most of them prioritize their social media pages and are just going through the motions with their website. APW has wix for example www.allprowrestling.com

I clicked through on mobile....I clicked through on mobile!!!! Edit: after my initial horror I've remembered to reply to the rest of your post. I can understand how social could be a focus to get more of a guerilla marketing sort of approach and keep it front of mind but I think particularly with a wrestling company new fans need an easy base for reference - Roster, Champs, Event Calendar, etc.

I recently ended up on MLW's website, and thought it was okay. Fairly professional looking, with a good roster page and clear links to when and where you can see their shows.

ROH's website is somehow both incredibly cluttered and it's hard to figure out exactly where you're going, but still manages to be blander than cold toast
So it's the best possible website to sum up ROH as an organization

Chikarapro.com is a pretty clean interface, good roster page, MASSIVE alumnus page. The only thing they need to do is ax the "blog" tab, since they haven't used it since August of last year.
