Watching this feud on old episodes of Superstars. Papa Shango puts a curse on Warrior and also sets fire to several jobbers using his "voodoo".
Why didn't Shango and Warrior ever have a match? Were they aiming for Summerslam 92?

They had some on the house show circuit and on Coliseum Video releases, some feuds never got settled on TV. In this case, I'm okay with that as the matches weren't very good.

Funny how some of the most over-the-top TV attacks of that era never got a PPV blowoff: - Undertaker tries to kill Warrior by locking him in a casket = just house shows
- Jake tries to kill Warrior with a room full of snakes = Jake leaves the company
- Berzerker tries to kill Undertaker with a sword = just house shows
- Papa Shango curses the Warrior, causing him to horf all over the place = just house shows

It was total filler for them to work house shows. Originally if was to be Sid. Shango was a filler and by the time Summerslam came around the location changed and the needed a big draw so switched to Savage vs Warrior
Had SS stayed in the States they could have gone with Savage & Warrior vs Sid & Flair as they liked thier tag main events at SS

There is a tag match (Holla, holla!) between Warrior/Undertaker (Playa!) vs Shango/Berzerker (Huss! Huss! Huss!) on the US Rampage '92 release. It's crap.

Actually it was the other way around. Warrior left immediately following Summerslam.

May I add Mr Hughes attacks the Undertaker steals his urn, and nothing comes of it.

In my head canon, Papa's curse eventually succeeded.

That doesn't count. Kamala always lost to anyone who had a winning percentage above .000.

May I add Mr Hughes attacks the Undertaker steals his urn, and nothing comes of it. Hughes v. Undertaker probably would have been slightly better than Giant v. Undertaker but lucky for the planning, it was originally Giant. I believe Hughes was gone before summerslam and the next time he was with WWF he only lasted one day IIRC.

The 1992 VHS release Ultimate Warrior has two matches with them going at it. One is a singles, the other a tag match (recycled from Rampage ‘92). Both were taped in front of dead tired crowds and were pretty bad.
