Realistically? He's probably the most important main event guy they had in the early/mid 2000's. Not only for what he did for their audience demographic and being one of the few men that actually was able to move the needle positively for them in that time period, but how many guys that were inspired by Eddie or said he was their favorite wrestler that are now in the company. He inspired a generation of wrestlers.
Tragically his death was also the start of the snow ball effect that led to the Wellness Policy being invented, which in its own right is a huge thing.
Not saying others didn't have their importance or leave their mark on history in some way but if you compare what Eddie did vs a HHH? Or a Kurt Angle, a JBL, a Brock Lesnar, a Big Show, a RVD, a Randy Orton? I feel like Eddie's influence was greater.

I'm not sure on a number, but in terms of influence and impact, particularly in 2004,2005 he was one of the most important guys on the roster. I don't think anyone realised just how good a talent he was until he died and left such a hole in the company.

As a draw he was big for a fairly small amount of time but he is a giant when it comes to being an influence on other wrestlers

Tier three, below the Brets, Shawns and such, but that's not a bad thing. He had a fantastic career but his true legacy will be his death and the WWE instituting a wellness policy to try and save others, something guys like MVP owe their lives to.
As critical as I am of the policy and it's HUGE loophole when it comes to prescriptions, it's done a lot of good.

To wrestling as a whole? Not very high. GREAT wrestler, don't get me wrong, but middle of the pack in terms of importance to wrestling history.
