He's blackballing himself out the league Unless he gets his shit fully clear in terms of these lawsuits, no one is going take a chance on him. He's a bad teammate and at his best he is the best WR in the game but talent may not outweigh the problems in this case

I listened to this on sports radio the other day; if Brown never plays another game in the NFL, is he a Hall of Famer?
The hosts were split. One saying no, because while he had good numbers, he has no big games, no Super Bowls, and his career ending would be self-inflicted. His attitude would factor in like T.O.
The other saying he would go in, if Eli and Joe Namath can go in, then AB has the stats to go in. He also said that AB wasn't playing with an elite QB, which is absurd. Think what you want about Ben personally, but Roethlisberger is a Hall of Fame QB.
I think, if AB would go in, it would take a long time. And his speech would just be him blowing himself anyways.

Idk about all that. He is a great receiver but HOF is a stretch if he didn't play another game. He needs another 3 years of high production for that to be the case Like comparing him and Calvin Johnson, they are almost a one to one comparison in terms of years and yards but I think Johnson is a no doubter while AB isn't and Johnson didn't even have winning squads or a HOF QB on his resume. Stafford is good but we know what he is

While the Halls claim only on field stuff matters, we all know the voters think about whether you're an asshole or not. I agree with you though. But he's not even going into the Steelers HoF, unless he does a complete 180 down the line like Bradshaw did. Would I be surprised if he got in? No. But I just don't think he is HoF worthy right now.

He was no doubt on the HOF path for sure and his numbers are almost comparable to Johnson but with Megatron I can say HOF but with AB I can't really say that. If he continued his career like we expected and produced high end numbers like we know he can, in 5 years time you're talking about one of the best WR ever but that's not the case He's better than Chad Johnson who also could be HOF worthy if he lasted a little longer but he's better than Ochocinco. Being an asshole matters as they punished TO for that longer than they should have. There is an argument to be made for AB but if you asking me today, with no more games i'd say no

Not long enough body of work, which was cut short due to his own actions and not injuries, and off-the-field stuff should matter. Even if the assault accusations don't stick, all-but-threatening one of your accusers and her freakin' children should be be disqualifying.

I get the argument that only on field stuff should matter, I just can't feel good about letting drug addicts, racists, woman beaters, rapists, murderers, and flat out dickheads in. I also think that Pete Rose,Bonds, and The Rocket should get in. While they are/were assholes, they were outstanding, and Bonds and Clemens played in what is literally known as the "Steroids Era." So I might be hypocritical there. But speaking of another Lion; Barry Sanders. Retires while still at the top, and if he keeps playing or decides to finally go to a contender, Smith never even gets a whiff of the rushing record. But Sanders was a surefire HoF'er. Bottom line: AB shouldn't even be allowed in the Hall as a tourist.

Iβm gonna miss Eckler being a beast for my fantasy team. Managed a win today with Thom Brady scoring me a whopping 3.7 points.

Dude has absolutely no control of himself and a distinct disdain for the health of other players.

Yeah, I have no sympathy for Mr. Burfict.

I don't love the idea of suspending a player for an entire season (in this case, 12 games) for a single hit, unless that particular hit ended another player's season or career. But if there's ever been the definition of a repeat offender, it's Vontaze Burfict. This will now be his third suspension for an unnecessarily violent play (his previous two were three games in 2016 for leveling Antonio Brown, five games in 2017 for a blindside block on Anthony Sherman during a preseason game). Take into account fines for twisting the ankles of Greg Olson and Cam Newton in 2014 and various personal foul penalties and ejections, and you've got the definition of a bad seed. I think he'll have the suspension reduced on appeal, because a 12-game suspension for an on-field hit is unprecedented, but he's had entirely too many chances now. He's well beyond strike three, according to the New York Post, this is strike 17, as in the 17th time he's had a run-in with league discipline.

The NFC is wiiiide open this year. The only certainties are that AZ and Washington aren't going anywhere. Going to be fun to watch.

I haven't seen anybody back Burfict. Even former players are saying it's long overdue. Even the NFLPA needs to be like, "Dude! We're competitors. Not enemies. You need to knock this shit off."

Colts have been active this week. Two practice squad changes to bring back previously waive/injured players (WR Marcus Johnson and CB Shakial Taylor) to the practice squad, signing DT Trevon Coley from the Ravens practice squad, and trying out a bunch of players. Of the three players that just lost their jobs, I would be surprised if no one claims DE/DT Jihad Ward off of the waiver wire. Jalen Collins may be done, but someone might take a chance on a 2015 2nd round pick even though he has now been discarded by two teams.
