Can we talk about how fantastic this match was? I figured it would be good, but I admittingly didn't think it would be THAT GOOD! It had action, blood, emotion, great crowd & told a hell of a story. Both guys were great(and Brandi played her part well), & Dustin proved that even at 50, he can still go!
The post-match was also really good.

That was a surprise match of the year candidate. Maybe the amount of blood was a bit too much, but it added to it big time.
Those damn onion cutting ninjas struck when they hugged at the end.

I know a lot of people weren't keen on the hammer spot, but I think it fit for the story of the match.
I think it's kinda nifty that Cody would have this hellish bloodbath against Dustin, which JR did a lot to sell, I must say, and all along, Cody knew he'd signed for the match against the Bucks. Now, I'm sure Cody could have just had another partner lined up, but it adds to the story of the match if Cody knew Dustin would still have his back after everything they'd put each other through in there.

Loved it. The story and psychology of the match was amazing; incredible old school pacing and feel. It felt like a solid 90% of us thought this was going to be Dustin's retirement match, so that promo/hug after the match just hit like a freight train of feels.

Legitimately might have been the best match of both men's careers.
If there was ever a doubt about Dustin's talent as a performer, I feel like this match put it to bed.
Similarly Cody may not be everyone's cup of tea but there's no denying he's one of the best going right now anymore.

A couple peopled mentioned it in the live thread, but it feels as though Cody is coming more and more into his own niche. He's capable of telling remarkable stories in the ring, and this match was his best performance yet.

His matches were hit or miss, in part because I think he was really figuring out what he wanted to be and what he wanted to do without the WWE leash and collar on him. But I've always felt he's progressively been getting better as time went on and for the last year or so? He's easily been in the top fifty, heck probably twenty, performers active right now across all promotions around the world.

I was completely flabbergasted at how good this match was. But it really goes to show that Cody's strength is telling a story and when he is able to keep it simple his matches are pretty great.

Amazing match. I wasn't really that excited for it but it ended up being one of my favorites of the night.
Watching the press questions with Cody vid and his response to the Triple H spot was interesting, he said he wanted it to be less a direct shot at HHH but more a rejection of the Triple H authority figure role and him wanting to still be an active wrestler and still having stuff to do in ring.

At All In and now Double or Nothing Cody has had the best most emotionally involving match for me.
He's not on the same level as Omega or the Bucks when it comes to moves and athleticism but he totally gets psychology and how to tell an intense dramatic story in the ring. You can see why the old guys like Bret rave so much about him.
I loved that match

I was happy to see it. It was the first time in a very long time that Dustin looked happy. This is not an indictment on WWE or whatever and for all I know, he could be the happiest dude in the world, but he always looks miserable.

I loved it, but my favourite bit of the match was between the match and Cody's promo - Cody comes back into the ring, Dustin sees him and scurries off into the corner, scared. Such a small thing but it was heartbreaking.

I was legit worried Dustin cut himself too deep with the amount of blood but great story. All credit to both for how they played their roles

There was a WCW promo Dusty cut on Dustin that I think Cody took inspiration from, and he bloody knocked it out of the park.
