So leaving aside the actual event, what do you think of the belt? I don't like it really but I've not seen a hi res image yet. Not really feeling the shape and it doesn't look that golden (although it could just be the lighting). I guess I could get used to it. Please vote in my highly scientific poll.

Didn't watch.
I like it. Differentiates itself from wwe, looks more "legit" though a bit gaudy.
I'd say 4th favorite belt just off this 1st impression.

It's serviceable. It has an excessive amount of logos, The plate is too busy and you can't read the words 'World' and 'Champion' and overall some color would help.

I like the design of the belt, and wonder whether Bret deliberately chose a shirt to match it. Not wild about the AEW logo on it, though. The angular font doesn't seem to blend too well with the floral-looking design.

It's a little busy, but it definitely gives me vibes of the old "Big Gold Belt", which I like.

I mean it's clearly taken inspiration from the IWGP Heavyweight Championship, but I feel that the 'AEW' block letters kinda detracts from the overall design if I were honest. Maybe if they went gold instead of silver for the lettering and had it more engraved it'd look a little better. (note: just referring to the lettering on this one, not the belt or the design itself) Still, I like it more than the WWE and Universal titles (but that's not saying much).

I don't like that the side plates are almost as big as the center one. It makes it look off and won«t look good on the waists on many guys.
Other that that seems fine.

Way too busy of a belt
4 globes....but I understand what they are trying to do with this with showing different regions on each glode 5 different 'AEW's'
And all of whatever else is going on with the belt...jewels etc

Not in love with it. It evokes the Big Gold Belt and that's neat but it's all just sorta there.

I like it. As already mentioned, they took an IWGP Heavyweight cue rather than a WWE one. Also noticed the AEW logo extends in a pattern along the strap.

I like it. Looks like a traditional championship belt. Like, I tolerate the wwe title because of how little I cared for the spinner title, but I'm happy to have a promotion that actually sticks to traditional looking titles.
I will say though, that it looks like there's a lot going on with it. Hope we get a high res look at it.
Also, didn't care for the segment itself. Thought the focus should have been on the unveiling of the title, not MJF getting comeuppance.

Also, didn't care for the segment itself. Thought the focus should have been on the unveiling of the title, not MJF getting comeuppance. Honestly, without MJF coming out to get some heat, I think the belt presentation would have dragged and slowed the crowd down. MJF getting the chance to do some good heel work allowed the segment to flow a bit a like another match and keep the energy through to the main events without having someone's heat killed. If it had just been Bret, Jack Whitehall, and maybe Hangman the promo would have slowed the start of Lucha Brothers vs. Young Bucks, they would have got it back, but I think they did a good job of pacing the show and this segment going the way it did was a big part of that. Jungle Boy and Jimmy Havoc is a weird couple of babyfaces though.

Its pretty but kinda uncreative. It lacks personality.
Which is better than creative and ugly.
Basically I like it,its works well enough for a Top Belt.

I think it’s cool, but I’m also biased towards more detailed looking plates as they come off way more prestigious to me. The current WWE title plates feel kinda bland and homogenized to me in comparison.

I like it. I wish the AEW lettering was a tiiiiiiiiny bit smaller, and I want to wait to see what it looks like around a guy's waist, but I like it so far.

I like it! It screams “world title” and not “mass produced carbon copy” like the WWE titles

I really like it. Reminds me a lot of the Japanese championship belts as well as the Big Gold Belt. It's a lot better looking than any belt in WWE, TNA, or ROH except for the WWE IC belt.
I really want to see what the other belts will look like, though. I assume that a tag team championship is inevitable and probably a women's championship once they build up that part of the roster more.
