Cena is one of the biggest stars in the entire world, and this dude comes out to Staunton, Va, by god, just to brighten up Diego’s day. At a time when every little thing in the wrestling business seems so major, I’m so glad to know John Cena is out there doing things that really matter. Keep Diego and his family in your thoughts. Hopefully whatever time he has left is spent doing the things that bring him joy.

It actually feels weird to see John Cena in full gear doing these things when it seems like he left the WWE a long time ago. It barely feels like he’s part of the company anymore, let alone the John Cena character

It actually feels weird to see John Cena in full gear doing these things when it seems like he left the WWE a long time ago. It barely feels like he’s part of the company anymore, let alone the John Cena character He could probably take a step away from the ring and become the Babe Ruth of WWE. Babe was all about making time for the kids and John Cena understands that as the main attraction for kids he has a responsibility to take care of. WWE has tried to get their Babe for many years and some guys either can't live up to it or can't take a step away from the ring or the fame in general but again, John Cena "gets it" where some of the other guys probably don't. |

With his recent casting in the new F&F dude is posed to become a full mainstream star and I don’t think anyone can say he has not earned it at this point.

Anyone else ever feel bad for Cena?
He's done over 700 of these and odds are he probably remembers a lot of these kids and now realizes that a lot of them didn't make it. I would never be able to handle that type of burden knowing I was the last person these kids met before their demise. Cena is the man and deserves every bit of the push WWE gave him.

If I was John I'd take comfort in the fact he brought some joy and excitement into their lives, when they got to see John Cena in full ring gear, like a superhero costume, turn up to see them. |

If I was John I'd take comfort in the fact he brought some joy and excitement into their lives, when they got to see John Cena in full ring gear, like a superhero costume, turn up to see them. Kids are full of wonder and optimism, even when life's its bleakest. Whatever "burden" the 700 could potentially have on Cena, wouldn't compare to knowing he helped them maintain that wonder and optimism to the end. I'm sure D.bry is much happier having known Connor. Ultimately it's about the kids and their families, if they had a good day, you did more than most and more than you'll know. |

Sure, to those who were tired of the caracter at points he was essentially the heel but those kids could still look up to their hero, since I'm sure a lot of them may not yet be to an age where they can mentally separate the two.
He seems dedicated and, even more, seems to enjoy the experience. I understand his schedule in Hollywood and just him getting older may result in his slowing a bit but I sincerely hope he continues on for a long, long time.

He seems dedicated and, even more, seems to enjoy the experience. He's probably honored, or humbled, to be a "last wish". Meeting him was an awesome experience, for me, and I'm so happy that he's giving these kids some happiness!!  |

I think one of the greatest honors a celebrity or athlete could have is to be a Make-a-Wish visit. Out of all the things someone, especially a kid, could want before they could die is for you to visit them. That would touch me in such a profound way and John Cena having done it so many times just goes to show how beloved he is by these kids.

This is why I couldn't be too annoyed when he was all over WWE TV. He's too nice of a guy to be that annoyed with. I can't imagine what seeing all these sick kids does to him emotionally, though. It would make me cry all the time.
