Just kinda curious what the board thinks is in the cards for our favorite blonde female WWE Announcer. Will the WWE be cool about what her husband is now doing, will the WWE do some of their normal petty shit... or will she handle it herself with professional class?
Half of my brain says they'll ignore it and if she wants to say something classy, so be it.
The other half of my brain says she'll get some of that old fashioned petty shit... like have Alexa dump BBQ sauce on her and call her fat.
But since I need to vote: I'm picking they'll do/say nothing. Basically 100% ignore it. That seems to be their strategy with a lot of things.

I think if they have her locked into a long contract, they'll do something petty and typically WWE. If she can walk in the near future, with offers from other companies, they'll pretend Dean/Jon doesn't exist.
Either way, I'd guess some dipshits backstage will at least be passive-aggressive about it.

I think there was a time not that long ago where they would have probably done a humiliating angle for her as petty revenge but I think they know now it's a different fanbase and that sort of thing won't be acceptable anymore.
Look at the way AJ Lee was treated in the year or so she was there after Punk quit, I don't remember them doing anything embarrassing to her and everyone at the time thought they would.

They won't do anything to "punish" her, Seth and Roman won't allow that. They seem to be high on her anyway.

Well, Renee and Jon are not the same person so I don't see why they will bury her for Jon's decision.

If Vince decided to have some heel go and say/do petty, mean stuff to Renee, it probably wouldn't even be written until minutes before Raw goes on the air. By then, Seth and Roman would be too busy trying to make sense of what they have to do on the show. But on balance, I do think it will probably be ignored. The most we'll get is Graves being fed vague lines about big fish in small ponds.

Don't think they'll do anything. She's done nothing to deserve it and seems well liked by everyone.

Yeah they did more than right by her. She retained the title at Mania after he left, she lost it the night after to Paige so she could take a few months off, she came back in the summer and won the belt back in the same night, and then they feuded until the fall when they added the Bellas into the story. Then AJ took more time off for all of that winter only to get back in time for a final Mania match and payday before retiring right after Mania 31. I don’t think anything is happening here.

They’ll sit her next to Michael Cole for three hours. Diabolical.

If she suddenly develops IBS, accompanied by The Usos hemmin' and hawin' outside the restroom she's in, you know why.

It wasn’t too long ago that Vince was going to fire a writer (who ended up quitting anyway) just because he wrote Bret Hart’s speech that mentioned “Vince”.

If they’re so big on PR and public image, this is something they gotta get around to fixing... This perception of “Someone’s significant other is working with the startup rival fed, how will they punish the one still working in WWE”. Not even the vagueness of reaction, but specifically punishment. Peyton Royce, same boat because of Shawn Spears working with them, too.

They're not in a position where they can really do shit about it. She does commentary on the shows, so she is far too visible for it to not be immediately obvious, and it's backlash they do not need or want right now. That's just on the fans/sponsors/shareholders end of things, too. The morale that is already a problem for them would take a massive hit if they retaliated against her.

Make her 24/7 Champion and put her in a blood feud with Cathy Kelley over it.

Make her 24/7 Champion and put her in a blood feud with Cathy Kelley over it. So you punish her by REWARDING the viewers with the feud of the year? I'm on board.

Yeah, I should've put that in my post. They need her more than she needs them, so reward her and the audience by giving us Renee vs. Cathy blood feud!

I really hope they don't do anything petty because it's not like she was the one who jumped ship or anything. And I think that's the most likely case. That said, I wouldn't put anything past Vince McMahon either.

A lot of people were under the impression that WWE thought he would be back within a year, myself included, and if that's true then I expect they'll get their shots in and try to embarrass her, maybe nothing too obvious but I don't expect them to be quiet. They can't help themselves.
