She was on E&C's podcast maybe a year ago talking about how bored she was with her role in the company and not long after that, they made her a Raw commentator. She's easily their best interviewer/host and not a very good commentator, but she's definitely someone they value.

and if that's true then I expect they'll get their shots in and try to embarrass her, maybe nothing too obvious but I don't expect them to be quiet. They can't help themselves. yeah exactly. I don't think they're gonna rip her clothes off tomorrow or anything but I fully expect them to start f***ing with her more and putting her in uncomfortable situations.

So you punish her by REWARDING the viewers with the feud of the year? I'm on board. Yeah, I should've put that in my post. They need her more than she needs them, so reward her and the audience by giving us Renee vs. Cathy blood feud! Which ends when Charly steps in, gets them to cut it out, and we get Interviewer Shield with Charly, Renee, and Cathy.

Well, Renee and Jon are not the same person so I don't see why they will bury her for Jon's decision. hahahahahahha

They'll be a jobber in the ring named Don poxley. He'll proclaim his love for Rene then get squashed by Bruan

Corey Graves will be the voice of Vince on commentary. Vince (from earpiece): Tell Renee she has no place on commentary. Make a point that she's never been in the ring so everything she says is stupid!

This is WWE, thus I wouldn't exactly be surprised if they treated her stupidly petty.
However, I hope they don't. Like I really hope not, it would make them look really, really bad. Like if they have any amount of mindset to want to mistreat her, it would maybe even be better to just release her now, like for real. Save her months of misery, save yourselves tons of shitty press saying you're shitty.

It's Vince Mcmahon. He has a fairly extensive history of irrational behaviour. It wasn’t too long ago that Vince was going to fire a writer (who ended up quitting anyway) just because he wrote Bret Hart’s speech that mentioned “Vince”. No, no, even that would make some sense if Robert Evans had actually written Vince's name into the segment. He didn't. Mentioning Vince was all Bret, Evans was just in charge of producing the segment.

They’ll punish her by extending her contract by six months.

I think WWE is more concerned with saving face than reprisal, and given taking it out on Renee is the most obvious way they could appear rattled, and the unnecessary problems and embarrassment they would get from it, I feel like it's much more likely that we'll hear about officials being cold to her backstage or something, tops.
I could see some comments being made, but that's mostly it, but hey, we wouldn't be in this mess if WWE has been followed a consistent logic the last few years. Maybe they'll utterly humiliate themselves come Raw. I just am predicting that, bar some line like that Renee had a busy weekend or something, we're not going to get much.

Renee is a coveted and respected talent, herself. If WWE does indeed want to be petty and vindictive, which I don't think they will, it would just bite them just as hard when she eventually shows up in AEW.

I just think they'll ignore Moxley. Frankly I'd rather AEW just ignore WWE as well. It's an unstated truth that the company's essence is to be anti WWE, they don't need to broadcast it. Nor does WWE need to punish Renee Young.

The worse they will do is have some heel bury him, and have her just sit and say nothing.

It's not like AEW has any ability to harm WWE or put them out of business like WCW was trying to do. Those 5 year TV deals ensure that. It's actually kind of a bad thing since desperation forced Vince to do something different in the 90s. What the hell difference does it make now if AEW beats them in the ratings? AEW still wouldn't bring in anywhere near the same revenue. Again, it's just petty to bury Renee.

They'll do nothing because she would have plenty of options elsewhere, burying her would result in an online backlash, and they won't want to alienate Ambrose who they will want back at some point in the future,

Renee Young very very likley has open doors to the new competition, and ESPN.
WWE very likley knows this.
As much as they (Vince?) probably wants to, I think they’ll refrain from actively pushing a much desired asset out the door.
