Anyone think this will ever happen? I think that Roman would be more likely to jump ship but i would mark. What if they did a shield Esque reunion at AEW. Roman and Rollins come in as faces and then turn later on

Nah, I’m good. Rollins bores me, Roman would be cool to see him get a chance to do something completely different, but I doubt that either of them ever jumps. They’re going to get paid stupid money to stay.

Nah, won't happen. They MIGHT, in some pie-in-the-sky dream world, get Rollins, since I could see him potentially hitting a "Done all I can do here" point, but Reigns? Nah, he's a lifer, from a lifer family.

Roman I could maybe see jumping if he cared enough about the creative aspect like Ambrose and wants a run where he can get booked properly.

Rollins would be a good get to try and get even more eyes on AEW, and obviously Roman would be a huge signing.. but if I'm Tony Khan, I dont even contact them. Yeah, it would probably be great for numbers, but if he really is thinking 20 years down the road, using the WCW model of picking up made men (whether its just to make a statement, or really allow them to flourish) is only gonna lead to problems down the road.
Hangman, MJF, Omega, the Bucks, Cody, Moxley, Jericho.. that is more than enough talent to hang their hat on for a few years. They need to try and stay as far away from the "who's gonna jump ship" deal as they can, because that then becomes the gimmick of the promotion. Happened to WCW, happened in TNA.
If they want to be a real alternative, that needs to be the ethos all the way down to the talent they sign.
I could be 100% wrong in my opinion, but I just wouldn't do it if I was running anything.

They'd still have been heavily pushed in the main event long enough to seem ancient in TV years in comparison.

I'm not going to pretend it wouldn't be a "holy shit" moment, of course it would, but nah. Besides, I think Jon ought to be allowed to have something that's his own without Rollins or Roman right now. Not going to pretend he didn't benefit enormously from his association with them, the Shield built his house so to speak, but he is plenty exciting on his own right now.

Ugh, no thanks. It would make AEW seem less cool.

Roman will be in WWE for life. In 2040 he will be making appearances for WWE.
Rollins, I guess maybe? He has had a really good consistent push, and doesnt seem to need any more creativity. I dont know if hes a lifer, but hes not leaving WWE in the next 5-10 years.

Regins has his whole family backed by WWE so he'd never leave off that. He's too loyal and given his new mindset I wouldn't be surprised if he's done in a few years.
Rollins, yeah he'll be there down the line. I don't see why not. He's out to be against the best. I can see him going there late in his career like years down the line.

Also, Reigns is a guy who clearly buys into all the "locker room leader" stuff WWE has put on him, so no way he leaves that behind.

AEW doesn’t need a Shield reunion. They’d come off like a larger budget TNA if they went that route.

Not strictly due to his health but his mindset in these interviews, his recent quotes, he's about living life and having fun now. He's not that guy only out for titles now. He's here for family.

It would be a huge mistake. By the time Rollins is out of his contract, AEW should already be established as its own thing and wouldn't need any big stars. He might be mildly interesting in AEW but I don't think its worth it. Reigns is likely a lifer so him even thinking about leaving WWE would be a sign of something seriously going wrong.

Yea, this recent health scare has changed him. He's basically done a lot and had the accolades and he will no doubt have more but you can see he just wants to be involved in wrestling. 5 years down the line could be big changes assuming HHH is more in charge by then. You have guys like Black, Ricochet, and Velveteen Dream (He's still only like 22) than can be an ensemble in carrying the company
