Get some luchadoras for the women division(Keyra would be a great addition).
Super Smash Bros booking: Their debut was a bust and close to Viking Experience level.
Add a midcard title so guys like Janela, MJF get to fight for it.
Keep concepts simple, not more Casino Battle Royal style, be more like Over the Top budget battle royal from All in.
Let non speaking english people like the Joshis cut backstage promos with subtitles(or with a translator being there) and the crowd gets to see it so people get to care/know more about the characters.

Everything. I don't mean that at as a criticism either, they can and should improve on everything. This whole endeavour has been about proving they CAN do it. They should keep proving it, whether ones like what they do or they don't (I'm in the latter category).
It's All Elite? Keep working to be the elite. A problem WWE has is nothing changes. They can immediately be the alternative many want by offering changes and never resting on their laurels.
Some stuff might need big changes, other just tweaks, but they're in a position where they don't need to put a ceiling on themselves.

From finally catching bits of the broadcast definitely commentary...I love JR but they definitely need their own voice.

Both the tag matches featured a particular fast-paced PWGish style. That can be tremendously entertaining, and it can work really well, but the major downside is when it becomes just big moves and kick-outs and there's no rhyme or reason to anything... and unfortunately, both the matches became kinda nonsensical at the end. I'd love to see this style featured on TV, but in a way that also lets the matches tell a story.
Also, it's great they're wanting to feature a broad range of styles and matches, but notably missing was some European, world-of-sport inspired technical stuff. That'd be nice, too.

No more shots at WWE. I get why they did that for their first ppv, but don’t go the WCW/TNA route. Just focus on you. And I'd definitely include Cody 'destroying' the throne and Ambrose's first promo in this. I can see why they do it (for the same reason WCW/TNA did it - it works) but it's incredibly lazy. Create your own identity, the top heels in your new company shouldn't be HHH and Vince. A couple of (good) big blokes too wouldn't go amiss.

I'd absolutely love a bit of old school English grappling on there. But not ZSJ, please give me people who emote more and don't just cycle through holds like a dance routine. I loved DoN and would put it as a 9/10 show but there's definitely still things to tighten up, because there always is. I think there's fundamental things they can improve/change, and also stuff with practice. With practice- getting camera timing down will come, the cuts and shots did miss things but they'll get there. Ditto JR on commentary, he was the best he's been in years and years but only really hit his stride later in the show as stories became clearer, stakes got amped and he was calling guys he knows. With Excalibur there to guide and help familiarise him about the roster I think JR really might just have a renaissance. Hopefully Marvez will also find more utility and voice over time. Fundamental issues aren't major but amongst them- entrances is a big one, very few entrances felt big or special. The TNA holdover tunnel did give me bad flashbacks but it was more the music, very muted and very samey. Kenny Omega is the megastar of the alternative, but his entrance was so measly next to ANY of his NJPW entrances with Devil's Sky. The Joshi women's music was so generic I didn't even realise the ringbell/sound f***up gave away the winner early by playing Shida's music. They REALLY need better themes asap and need to work on volume and just on general staging of entrances. Pretty much everyone's major impression came from their ringwork, but that first impression of the entrance is important in selling someone as a star. TNA and WCW both failed to keep up with WWE for theme music, NJPW is the only place that matches it and AEW would do well to borrow their guys or snap up Jim Johnston while he's interested. (Speaking of the ringbell screwup- sort THAT shit out fast. WWE would get no end of grief for such a botched finish, that plus Yuka's blatantly late save just before the ringbell f***up looked bad and amateur and made me feel for all 6 women as it had been a really good match until then and AEW got a free pass on it because people want them to do well, but if they're to really be the alternative to WWE they need to hold themselves to the same standards.) The WWE potshots have to go. Feels petty and low-rent. Reference them sure but don't do potshots it really feels attention-seeking and AEW doesn't need it. The Young Bucks....I know they apparently had limited time to structure their match but TAKE THAT TIME guys. Their tag match was a fun flipfest but for God's sake. A package piledriver and springboard senton bomb combo should not be a 2 count, even JR was calling out the match for the number of head bumps by the end. They can have very very good matches, they've proven this in New Japan. Please don't revert to pointless spotfest of crazy moves just because you can and it's the easy option, guys. Big guys. Wrestling needs hosses and giants and monsters. Ideally the Vader/Bigelow breed of agile monster rather than just fat slobs, but a few more meatheads wouldn't go amiss. AEW want variety, they need variety in the roster beyond "5'10 agile all-rounder'

He's still got a long way to go IMO to be the second coming of Suzuki that he's hyped as, or Best In The World Bryan Danielson.

Not really an “improvement” suggestion as they only just had their first show and have not done much yet, but...
Managers. A lost craft in WWE that has such an important role to play. See what Truth Martini is up to, but try to scale back his cussing and sexual innuendo a bit. He is more than good enough a talker to make due without it.
Less titles+more special events. To stand out compared to WWE, have fewer titles that are booked to MEAN something. And to raise a performer’s profile and move them up the ladder, use special events like King of the Ring or the World X Cup. I dare suggest, how about a “King of Submissions” tournament where the stipulation is the only way to beat your opponent is to make them submit.
And finally-short term contracts. Don’t fall into the WWE, WCW mistake of singing performers to long term deals only to end up doing nothing with them. Be open to the concept of signing them for short term obligations, six months or possibly even less, just to see how well they do in front of your audience and with your other performers-then you can talk long term if it all gels. Use this as a way to stagger the roster and keep an influx of fresh match ups and new talent flowing so you don’t become stagnant by highlighting just the same handful week after week, month after month, year after year.

For their major shows, I’m hoping to see elaborate entrance sets like WWE used to do. It really makes those shows feel special, and visuals go a long way.
On commentary, they should have a pure heel in the vein of Bobby Heenan, so bickering with the face announcer becomes an extension of the rivalry in the ring.
