The tornadoes that struck Ohio the other day practically tore apart what's left of Hara Arena, the venue that hosted countless hockey teams and basketball games in Dayton before the Nutter Center (where King of the Ring 1993 was held) was constructed and as a cheaper alternative to the University of Dayton Arena. It's best known for hosting ECW Heatwave in 1998 and 1999. www.whio.com/news/local/hara-arena-roof-blown-off-trotwood-schools-closed-after-tornadoes/5W7NpDohYwDBNwu9fp59bK/It's been abandoned since the last tenant, the Federal Hockey League's Dayton Demonz (gotta emphasize the Z, man) went belly-up, and although people have talked about restoring it, it's not looking too good for the venue.

Sad news.
Many of my fondest live event wrestling memories come from smaller venues around the northeast, and it's always disheartening to hear about one being shut down, torn down or destroyed.
