That's a good feud waiting to happen Ciampa can slide into that hardened babyface role or just a tweener in general I want Ciampa to return and immediatly be an irredeemable ass again. I think he will slide into a middle role He was basically being such a good and sadistic heel it started getting him cheered. Most likely he comes back and has no friends outside of Candice and Gargano. Ciampa will cheat with a smile on his face but the people will love him for it If they want to go the straight heel route then you have to bring him up to the main roster where they could "start him from scratch"

I have a hard time ever seeing him booed again at Full Sail, but if anyone can pull it off I bet it would be Ciampa. I want no part of him on the main.

HHH agrees and seems to be trying to keep him and Gargano there as long as possible But yeah Ciampa stepping in against Cole could be great. UE would cheat but Ciampa is smart enough to always have something up his sleeve which would play into his devilish nature A full heel turn would have to be him and Gargano being heels together tho along with Candace joining in

Great match. My only quibble is that it continues this run of face NXT Champions that aren't really getting long runs with them before dropping them to the next heel in line. Other than Aleister Black just scraping past 100 days, you have to go back to Finn Balor to find a face NXT Champion that had a significantly long run. I understand there might be a few mitigating factors here, though, like Gargano apparently rehabbing an injury and Cole just generally being so over despite being the nominal heel. That's my main quibble with it as well, as I would of liked to have seen Johnny Whatshisface get a decent run with the championship after how long it took him to climb to the top of the mountain. I'm also going to assume, that, he is in fact more injured the initial believed that he was and probably will be taking some time to rehab said injury. As Cole, and the Undisputed Era, this does throw an interesting wrinkle in the group's dynamic as Strong, O'Reilly and Fish failed to defeat Riddle and reclaim tag team championship gold, and it also sets the Original Bro to be the next challenger for the NXT Championship. All around, it was another solid "TakeOver" show that between the show of respect between Dream and Breeze, Shirai snapping on Baszler and Cole exercising his "TakeOver: New York" demons, it'll go down as one of my favorite NXT shows.

Hopefully Adam Cole starts bringing his hype man rapper to the ring everytime he defends the NXT title. Kinda like how Finn Balor never loses when he's The Demon, Adam Cole is undefeated when he practices Thuganomics/TruthTV-style ring entrances.
