I just watched this today to finish up 1995 on the Network, and I have to say it's a pretty entertaining show. While Luger/Chono and Savage/Tenzan were duds, the rest of the matches are really entetaining (especially Eddie/Otani, Sasuke/Sting, the Sting/Luger/Flair 3 way, and Flair/Savage). It's a fun way to kill 3 hours, and it's a shame more people dont give it the credit it deserves

I think it was the first WCW PPV I ever saw. So it holds a special place in my heart for that.

I also find it funny that this show later resulted in One Man Gang's only title run in any major promotion (that I know of).

To be fair, Starrcade has had a history of being specialty shows at that point. Sure, 93 and 94 were more WrestleMania type shows (well, 94 in theory if not execution), but 89 had the Iron Man and Iron Team Tournaments, and 91 and 92 had BattleBowl. So having Starrcade not just be "feud enders" wasn't as big a deal.
