I saw Speed in a second run showing at the Village 8. My dad saw Pulp Fiction and oddly enough he didn't much care for it at all. Just felt it was disjointed with the out of sequence storylines.
My mom has always been about some Keanu, haha. Speed is one of her favorite movies. Personally I think it's better than Die Hard, but I'm probably in the minority there.

My uncle saw Speed and thought it was really boring because, "they're on a bus the whole time."
I think it's a fantastic 90s action movie. And it's funny how the studio was pissed that Keanu cut his hair for the role. Keanu was like, "Cops don't look like Ted from Bill & Ted." And actually, he agreed to grow his hair a bit before filming. So I guess he damn near shaved his head, cause his hair was super short in Speed.
And did anybody else see that cruise liner crash into that dock in Italy last week? Don't lie...we all immediately thought of Speed 2. 😁
And with all the 90s nostalgia, reboots, and so on these days...and with Keanu on fire with the John Wick movies...I would love for him to pull a Vin Diesel and return for a Speed 3. Hopefully Sandra would at least make a cameo.
I would say a train, but that's a little too Under Siege 2. I would maybe set it on one of those really nice airplanes. The ones with showers and bars and shit.

I remember seeing Speed in theaters...... Still believe it or not haven’t seen Pulp Fiction You are really missing out. I remember seeing the trailer for Pulp Fiction and I thought it looked kind of silly. Then I saw the movie and it was so much better than I thought it could possibly ever be. I’m not trying to overhype it but it was a pleasant surprise. You should check it out sometime.

Prob would appreciate it more as an adult then if I’d seen it way back when.

I'm not sure why Speed and Pulp Fiction would be in the same post, aside from being out the same year. Baffled as to why anyone would find Speed boring. It's one of the fastest movies ever made, with zero downtime.

Pulp Fiction made people remember "Son of a Preacher Man." Not bad, not bad at all.

Checked out the Wiki page for Speed a bit and came across this:
Speed: 93% "Certified Fresh" score on Rotten Tomatoes. Speed 2: 4% "Rotten" score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Holy...I wonder if there is another 2 movies that have that drastic a score drop from original movie to sequel?
There are also three positive reviews regarding Speed 2 on Rotten Tomatoes and two of them are...from Siskel and Ebert.

Speed 2 should have been on a train because trains are fast.

I keep forgetting Speed existed and hate myself for that all the time. Underrated Keanu film imo. Gotta say, I love that John Wick has been a revival of his career, always been a favorite to me.
