Yeah but she does have a point. AEW isn’t going to set everyone up for life with big contracts. I know it feels like this generation’s WCW “Let’s sign everyone to huge money” moment but I can’t see AEW being as reckless with money as WCW was. Oh I can. Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it.

AEW isnt signing a sexpot 90s style Diva whos a so so worker. NXT or ROH are her options.
Someone mentioned Penelope Ford, who does hardcore matches, and can do some great spots. Scarlett is not in her league.

I’d like to see her pop up in AEW. At the same time I realize that AEW can’t sign everybody. I’m sure a lot of independent talent are hopeful because they have a friend there supposedly putting in a good word but sooner or later some of these “I want my release!” stories aren’t going to have a happy ending. I do think Scarlett should be fine. However I don’t have as much confidence for Killer Kross. I know they’re probably a package deal but he doesn’t bring as much value as Scarlett does. Ideally, AEW should consider a rotational approach to some of its talent, allowing them a chance to be on television (not local TV stations at ungodly hours or a survivalist network, but a real cable channel) but also granting them an opportunity to work other promotions, just to keep things fresh. The downside would be that if they get hot, they could use that elsewhere, but at least you won't end up like WWE or ROH.

From what I've heard Impact paid her very little, so it's very understandable that anyone with a bit of hype would leave them and pick the best offer between WWE and AEW. So why sign the f***ing contract? Christ. Valid Point but Scarlett has been in wrestling mostly on a very low level since 2011,She’s been working a real job ever since because that’s steady income and pay on the indy’s sucks for about 90% of the talent out there and its worse for women unless you are willing to do those custom fetish videos to supplement your income. She started in small chicago indies because that’s where she lived and it allowed her to chase her dream while working a real job,She tried OVW briefly but they used her as a jobber so she left then she worked mostly once a month AAW shots until she went to roh in 2013.In Roh she was a favorite of Delirious for about a year until Mandy Leon showed up and Scarlett was made occasional midwest house show ring announcer. She worked a TNA ONO ppv and Roh started using her even less.Between 2014-2016 pretty much every ROH woman did extra work with WWE but when Scarlett worked Nia Jax on raw in 2016 both Mandy Leon & Kelly Klein threw shade at her on twitter saying they would never do extra work for wwe(even though they had) because they wouldn’t disrespect ROH that way and Scarlett didn’t do much in ROH after that. Once she left ROH she really only worked AAW because it was local and she did 1 tour of stardom until Jimmy Jacobs joined the booking team in impact and they had been friends for a longtime so he got her the job. When she joined Impact she was one of the only buzzed about things in the promotion but they clearly had no ideas what to do with her past letting Callis,D’Amore and their buddies perv on her in sexual segments while they paid her very little. When she joined impact it was a good chance of getting some exposure cause they still had tv people could watch now their on twitch and only a couple thousand people watch each week so with the little pay and little exposure I don’t begrudge her for wanting to get out.

Scarlett is not in her league. She would be completely different from anything AEW has and to me thats a good thing. To me pro wrestling is best when its a buffet with tons of variety not everyone cares about workrate and people like different things. You wouldn’t want a whole show full of that type of characters but one is more than welcome and she doesn’t need to be a wrestler as she could be a smoking hot valet as that is her biggest strength. On a related note my dad hates pro wrestling but he loved Goldberg,The Rock and Stone Cold vs Vince but last summer he came over to visit me on a thursday night when I was watching impact and Scarlett was the only thing he was interested in his exact words were “I would watch this show every week just for her..but I won’t because the rest of this crap is garbage!”...my dad doesn’t usually have that reaction to women in wrestling other than Sable & Trish he was a big fan of them.

People are allowed to leave, Taya. f*** off. Yea, like she shouldn’t be throwing shade at all. She left because she wanted her equal value and Impact saw that as well. Don’t knock someone else grind that isn’t your own
