Scarlett to AEW CONFIRMED!? Because the incident at AAA might make her reconsider sticking there as her home promotion.

I would love to see Penelope and Scarlett being a team in AEW, like an upgraded version of the BP.

Got to give it to her, she makes a huge buzz. Hopefully AEW picks her up and not WWE.

I’d like to see her pop up in AEW. At the same time I realize that AEW can’t sign everybody. I’m sure a lot of independent talent are hopeful because they have a friend there supposedly putting in a good word but sooner or later some of these “I want my release!” stories aren’t going to have a happy ending. I do think Scarlett should be fine. However I don’t have as much confidence for Killer Kross. I know they’re probably a package deal but he doesn’t bring as much value as Scarlett does.

She asked for her release, right (or otherwise wanted to depart from TNA)? She'll definitely get booked elsewhere.

From what I've heard Impact paid her very little, so it's very understandable that anyone with a bit of hype would leave them and pick the best offer between WWE and AEW.

She was probably happy to be featured on a bigger show than most indies, but with AEW around and Vince being desperate to pay anyone big money for not having them go to AEW she's probably in a very good postition now.

So why sign the f***ing contract? Christ. People tend to look at Impact and MLW contracts as nice reliable paydays and a chance to get on tv until someone bigger comes looking. 6 months to a year in a company like that with decent booking will likely lead to you getting a higher asking price. It’s shocking how low a lot of people get paid to wrestle and I think we tend to forget that. Just look at how low so many of the big Indy guys were getting just a couple years ago on that asking list some agent or promoter leaked.

Yeah but she does have a point. AEW isn’t going to set everyone up for life with big contracts. I know it feels like this generation’s WCW “Let’s sign everyone to huge money” moment but I can’t see AEW being as reckless with money as WCW was.

I don't really know who all they have under contract, and who is basically on a per-appearance basis.
