I really think the Nets are gonna regret this in a few years. Depending on what they get back for Russell, I guess.

It's been fascinating to watch Brooklyn's rise back to respectability and now a home for elite free agents. What a time

To sum up today thus far
- Boston and Kemba agree on a 4 year deal
- Nets and Kyrie agree on a 4 year deal
- Boston will renounce rights on Terry Rozier due to Kemba signing
- Det and Derrick Rose is working on a two year deal
- Jimmy Butler will meet with Rockets and Heat
- D'Lo will become a free agent due to Kyrie going to Nets

Damn. Really wanted the Nets to keep D'Lo and grow together. It's also interesting to see the team move so fast when Durant is far from a guarantee. Kyrie alone is not making you a contender.
In other news, Butler is taking meetings with Miami (Sunday) and Houston (Mon or Tue). The way the news was worded it's almost like Philly expects to lose him.

If they can make it work cap wise, for 1 year anyway that would improve Houston and give them a punchers chance at a title. Given the Warriors injuries and the possibility Kawhi doesn't resign in Toronto next year might be some franchises best chance ever for a title,so sacrificing long term for the best possible 2019-2020 roster is a risk some franchises should make.

They would have to work with Philly to do a sign and trade which they have no obligation to do so They don't want to offer him the 5 year max it seems and willing to let him see what he can do for himself. Worst case scenario is he leaves to Clippers but he can't get on Miami or Houston without Philly helping them

Aside from the tax-free and sunny living, not sure what Butler could see in Miami. Theyโre a few steps behind the top east teams, though thereโs still plenty of offseason (really all of it) to go.
I do like the sound of him and Kawhi on the Clippers. Iโm sure the Bucks and Celtics would love that too.

Inserting Kyrie Irving into a roster full of talented young players ready to make the next step. What could possibly go wrong?! I'm glad that Kemba Walker is coming to Boston and I'm even happier that it comes at the expense of Kyrie Irving. He can take his faux intelligence and his pocket-sized words of wisdom and lay that crap on some other franchise. I normally don't like smearing a guy on the way out the door, but I can't wait to see what sources leak to the media about what Kyrie Irving was like behind the scenes and how he almost single-handedly gored the Celtics' future. I hope everyone in the Celtics organization goes scorched (flat) earth on him over the coming days and weeks. I haven't anticipated a former Boston athlete getting booed in his return to the city since the days of Fat Josh Beckett.

I donโt get it. After his implosion with Boston why the hell are you pushing out your young team-developed All-Star with still room to grow out the door? I absolutely hate this move for the Nets. Hate it. Someone else is getting a helluva young player because they got all starry-eyed because โOMG SUPERSTAR!!!โ

Kings and Dewayne Dedmon have a strong mutual interest. If they donโt sign Horford (Iโm assuming NOLA with his IG follows) this is the kind of move I want. A stop-gap until Giles is ready.

Someone else is getting a helluva young player because they got all starry-eyed because โOMG SUPERSTAR!!!โ My thing is, if you tell me I have to pay $25 Million for DโLo or $30 for Kyrie then Iโll take Kyrie based upon player HOWEVER, this Nets team as constituted now is not a championship team because you replaced Kyrie with DโLo. If they do not get KD this isnโt really a forward move but a lateral one. That team was rocking last year and they became what they are thanks to the bonding and chemistry they built. Idk if Kyrie fits into that and as seen with Boston his leadership skills is very poor They need KD to really make this signing worth while. You had a young unit that just needed to keep adding on every year and would have been talking championship in another season or two. Kyrie with this same team is still a playoff team but the added pressure of a big name means you have to product or it is a failure Sean Marks has been an underrated GM and off the strength of turning this mess of a franchise into one that lured Kyrie there is successful in itself. But they donโt have the luxury of letting things play out, championship time has to happen on Kyrie contract

I do like the sound of him and Kawhi on the Clippers. Iโm sure the Bucks and Celtics would love that too. Miami is a pretty well-run organization in a big market. Bam is gonna be really good, they've got a very good team defense (only team top 5 in both points allowed and FG% against), and have a big hole at #1 scorer. If Jimmy Buckets wants to dominate the ball and wants it to be HIS team as much as he was rumored to in Minny and a few weeks into Philly, he'll go there. The talent difference between Miami and Boston post-Horford and Kyrie is minimal if, any at all. Yet no one would call out Kemba for going to play on that team, but would with Butler and Miami. It's essentially the same situation. Only Boston has a better coach, Miami has a better FO.

Dedmon is actually a really underrated center. He can shoot 3s occasionally, solid on defense, great on the boards. And won't cost a fortune. You basically get a better WCS, only cheaper and isn't delusional about what he is.
