Who you guys got for breakouts?
I have....
Jaren Jackson Jr: would have if he stayed healthy last year. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander: will be great once the duct tape on Paul's hammy stops being sticky. OG Anunoby: POSSIBLY, if given more of a chance offensively. Will be great on D regardless. Jayson Tatum: Out with Kyrie, Horford, Rozier, and Marcus Morris. In with Kemba and Kanter. Which means a net gain in shots and role, talent has always been there. Lonzo Ball: Barring health. The Pels always wanted a great passer next to Jrue who is allowed to run the offense. That plays to Lonzo's strengths way more than LA last year. Bam Adebayo: Whiteside is gone, he looked great to end last season. He's ready. Derrick White: POSSIBLY if given close to 30 a game. Joe Harris/Caris LeVert: Durant probably misses all of this season, despite him wanting to come back rushing back is why he's out rn. Kyrie usually misses some time. Russell is gone. There will be opportunities available, and the Nets play with more pace than just about any other team. Tons of possessions + DNPs = someone is getting shine.

^^^
De’Aaron Fox — All-Star level production (won’t get the recognition, but on his way to ascending to top 3-5 PG in the league)
Harry Giles — Will show consistent flashes of why I think he has the highest potential on the team. Dude’s baby C-Webb. Knees have to hold up though. He’d be someone else’s number 1 pick and franchise cornerstone if they didn’t have the injuries.
Marvin Bagley — Offensive juggernaut
Wait... those are all Sacramento Kings! What was it Vlade said that was mercilessly mocked by everyone (including Kings’ fans) a season ago?
“Superteam... just young.”

Yea, I can agree with this list I like Shai to have a really good season in OKC before becoming full time starter, Bam to basically be a rebounding machine in Miami and be a perfect compliment to Butler, and Lonzo will finally get his due. I think people have slept on him and he went from overrated to underrated. What he does, he does really well including way underrated defense In regards to adding to the list Mitchell Robinson - In decent mins last year he had really good numbers. He will be a starter this year and if he can stay out of full trouble and not suffer a sophomore slump he can possibly lead the league in blocks Markelle Fultz - By virtue of having no expectation he should have a breakout year. Orlando is going to give him every chance to be that guy so if healthy he should put up numbers by default. Trey Young - He had a rough first half of the season but he went off the 2nd half. If he can continue that, he may be an All Star this year Michael Porter Jr - If healthy he was the favorite to be the number 1 pick in 2018. Now, a year after back surgery he can be a really good bench piece for Denver and show why people thought he was going to be big. Of course it can go left as well after not playing ball for almost 2 years D'Aaron Fox & Bagley - I put those two together because they are tied to each other. Both will need to take another step in their game for Sac to be contending for a playoff spot. Fox has what it takes to be a top tier guard in this league and Bagley i've been high on (when y'all Sac fans was bitching about picking him) he has Amare type explosiveness with Chris Bosh finesse as well. Off the bench he was getting double doubles, with more consistent mins I expect the same and better

The fact that he is getting test done doesn't exactly bode well but can't judge it until word comes out He can't afford injuries to his knees or legs. If these is indeed another serious injury he is most likely done as any sort of starter in this league and will have to take bench roles moving forward if that like Isiah Thomas

But with his history it's less likely, but still possible. If it's a serious tear where he's out for the year, you're talking about a 16-minute a night player from here on out.

I think even if it is a injury that holds him out for a month, it is still a blow. Can't see Lakers having much trust in him but they will have no choice thanks to McGee being the only other big man on the roster If it is indeed a tear, yeah he may be done. C-Webb ruptured his Achilles and was never the same player and out the league at like 35, Amare after years of leg and knee issues was out the league at 33, Jemaine O' Neal stopped being a force in 2008 but was able to last until 2014 and retired at 35. And as you said Bill Walton would be the other comparison which he missed a shit ton of time thanks to his feet. Knee and leg issues are not kind to big men

Reports of a torn ACL. BIG BLOW. He's done, their is no other way to slice it Vet minimum and coming off the bench is his future I feel sorry for him, his fall from grace came hard and he has now lost all his athletic ability that was going to make him one of the greatest big men of this generation if not all time

Well, that's it for Cousins being an above average player in this league. I'm kinda surprised at how decent his stats were last year. Still not the same guy, but a little more effective than I expected so soon. Sad, he was just reaching his peak in New Orleans putting up monster numbers when the Achilles hit. And I don't know what's worse, a torn ACL on top your injured Achilles or a torn ACL on your "good" leg. Reminds me of Cadillac Williams in the NFL having dual torn patellas. A guy with tons of talent that you just know he'll never reach now.

Cousins' 29th birthday was apparently 2 days ago. Must suck to turn 29 and know your entire career just kinda went up in flames. He'll be 30 next year, a free agent, and hitting the market cold because it's unlikely that even with a playoff run that he sees action. I got him bouncing around for 3 years and then done. Maybe he should go back to the Kings.

Reunion with the Kings seems likely. Otherwise, he may be riding the bench on a championship team hoping to get a ring. Derrick Rose was young enough to be able to recover from his knee injuries and due to him being athletically gifted, he still has some lift in his legs despite not dunking on people like he used to
Cousins is going to be 30, add on this being the 2nd and 3rd year straight he has to recover from a leg injury and he looks done. Crazy to see how leg injuries has really hit a lot of talent over the last year and a half. Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson, John Wall and Demarcus Cousins are all looking to be out this year due to injuries suffered. In Klay and KD part, they have the natural ability to overcome losing a step but Cousins had already lost a step and now will lose another. Wall is TBD but he isn't looking good either

Even Greg Oden is looking at Boogie like "Damn bro, you have some BAD luck!"
Lakers just got dealt a huge blow to the shaky depth they already had. Their curse is real.

They lost out on a skill guy and now they only got McGee as the true Center What they most likely do is play small. AD is going to have to play Center and Kuzma may end up playing the 4 which would hurt their bench depth In terms of Forwards/Centers that is still out there they can possible sign for the minimum: NeNe Kenneth Faried Melo Joakim Noah
