Lakers lost to the Blazers on the first game after Kobe's death, but they sure as hell aren't gonna lose to them in the playoffs on Mamba Day. Thanks for making that prediction, Chuck.

ole Skip Bayless in a couple hours. OH no, he's going to shame LeBron and the Lakers for driving up the score and decry them for being such terrible sports.

Is Embiid to Phoenix for Ayton+ a realistic deal? Nah. The Sixers need to move one of Embiid or Simmons because they over paid other guys, but also because they're a bit repetitive on the floor. Ayton and Simmons are the same deal. They need a more complimentary piece.

Brand f***ing up already
Says Embiid and Simmons not on the block
I get he doesn't want to devalue them but you're better off keeping quiet cause if you do trade them you're going to come across like a big liar
Masai was able to get away with that in Toronto because ultimately they won a ring but he nearly f***ed his relationship completely with Lowry

Skip Bayless really is something else. Says the Lakers effort last night was pathetic because they were front running. He also keeps harping on what happened in Game 1!!! I mean who cares about Game 1 anymore?!

I mean who cares about Game 1 anymore?! That's his job to deflect and annoy Lakers are front runners but they won, who cares. They have smoked Blazers 2 out of the last 3 games, Portland has run out of steam There is a reason this is a 7 game series and not a one game playoff

I mean who cares about Game 1 anymore?! Skip is paid millions to troll, especially LeBron. Thatβs been his gimmick for over a decade. When LeBron was out of the playoffs last year, he went into hating Kawhi and got a few months of material out of that before he could revert back to his original gimmick. Once Skip and SAS retire, that genre of sports talk is going to fade into oblivion.

I don't know what Philadelphia does to figure out the mess they're in. They have two of the most untradeable contracts in the NBA (Tobias Harris has four years and $147 million remaining and Al Horford has three years and $81 million left). All indications are that one of the core franchise players should be dealt this off-season - Ben Simmons or Joel Embiid - but if you trade the wrong one, you could be ruining your future, as both have major flaws. Embiid suffered foot injuries that caused him to miss his first two seasons, he has a history of fitness concerns, and the game may be evolving beyond a 7-foot post player. Simmons also missed his rookie season because of a foot injury and he can be left on an island beyond the three-point line, which is inexcusable for a swingman who is in his third full NBA season.
I think the right decision might be to bring in a no-nonsense coach who can try to clean this mess up, give him one season, and then gut the franchise if it doesn't go according to plan in 2021-22, because there's too much talent on the team for them to be continuously getting bounced in the first and second round like this.

So... What's up with this madness of the Nets wanting to "trade" for Gregg Popovich and why does some people on the media thinks that it's going to happen?

So... What's up with this madness of the Nets wanting to "trade" for Gregg Popovich and why does some people on the media thinks that it's going to happen? The media loves talking about Basketball in New York. You can only talk for so many years in a row about the Knicks dumpster fire, so it's the Net's turn to be the cool team and the NYC hot topic. On a more serious note I think the Nets have a real chance of taking that city over. It would take a long time, but they got the Knicks stank in their favor.

It has a 2 percent chance if that of it happening I think Pop really only coaches now just so he can teach Duncan and Hammond and get them jobs in the NBA. He was going to retire with Duncan, held off for Kawhi and now with the team finally rebuilding it is more so about the future then it is him

So... What's up with this madness of the Nets wanting to "trade" for Gregg Popovich and why does some people on the media thinks that it's going to happen? Honestly, I feel like if there was absolutely nothing to it, it wouldn't be getting as much written about it. I could see how competing for championships in his last few years would appeal to Pop. I also think the Spurs ownership/front office situation has changed some in recent years and it might not be as smooth as it used to be. Also I think Pop already lives in New York in the off-season. Plus there's the relationship with Sean Marks. If nothing else I think Pop definitely hears them out. But the drama that is sure to come from a KD/Kyrie locker room might make it a non-starter. Pop has never had patience for that kind of stuff.

I'm a Spurs fan and I've seen how the younglings have played but the thing that gets me is people commenting that Pop could leave San Antonio because "Pop is too old to help the kids develop and rebuild" and that "going to the Nets makes them a serious threat in the East". With such little faith in people like Derrick White, Dejounte Murray, Lonnie Walker, Keldon Johnson, Drew Eubanks and Jakob PΓΆeltl contrasting with their good performances in the Bubble, it's kinda bothersome to see people count them out and say that Pop should leave them behind because they're not super rookies and high volume scoring machines from the get-go.
