Brand f***ing up already Says Embiid and Simmons not on the block I get he doesn't want to devalue them but you're better off keeping quiet cause if you do trade them you're going to come across like a big liar I think coming across like a GM who will lie to the press is a smaller price to pay then lowering the trade value of probably the only tradeable assets on the roster.

I know this is WAY early, like WAY early. But it's fun to speculate.
What do you think Doncic's ceiling is? Is it legit possible we're putting him in the catagory of Jordan, Lebron, Magic and Bird?
He'll need to be where he is now stat wise, but improve the shooting and have fewer turnovers and of course need the championships.

Luka is only 21 and this good right now so there is a possibility he could end up a top 10 all time when his career is all said and done.
But so so so many things would have to be in his favor for that to happen because there is the chance he could simply be peeking right now and then just falls into mediocrity.

There is a ZERO percent chance Luka Doncic falls to mediocrity. Will he keep getting better? Thatβs going to be hard because heβs so damn great already.

I'm not talking media, i'm talking how your team is going to feel knowing you lied openly Toronto situation could went left if everything didn't work out and Masai admitted he was wrong but winning cures everything

Luka if he continues this pace will end up as one of the greatest statistical players ever
However, expectations has not hit him yet in terms of championships which is what stars like him are gauged by. He's able to put up these numbers without the scrutiny but get all the love.
He won't be Bird, Jordan, LeBron, Magic I think as that is high aspirations but he can def be in that class below it with KG, Timmy, etc
Perception will change in a few years and the views will as well. If he continues to put up these numbers but not winning in the big games and defense is suspect as hell he could be Harden. Harden is recognized as one of the greatest scorers of all time but that's it. Westbrook will go into the books as one the greatest statistical players of all time but his shortcomings does not make his accolades pop like they should
I think Luka will rise above them but the media love will not last forever. Him and KP are on free time right but two years from now they will start hearing those chirps that Nash and Dirk was hearing
So yeah to put a bow on it, I think he will be great but I want to see how he performs when he isn't the wonder kid on the block anymore

LeBron got these types of comparisons early, but they got shouted down for a good decade. Luka, like Giannis, didn't come in with ungodly expectations so that seems to take the cap off of who you can compare him to. Stats-wise, he's nuts. But there is going to be settling period these next 5-10 years as we find what the new standards are with these higher pace/possession games. Like Big O averaged a triple double and that was like an impossible standard, and then Russell Westbrook who is not an elite player averaged it 3 years in a row. It's tough to tell who is the best now and who is the best all time, much like Mahomes in the NFL.

Triple Doubles have become overrated The game usage rate is insane for stars and in cases like Westbrook and OKC, they built the whole thing around him always having the ball. His big men don't grab rebounds, they box out so he can grab rebounds and run up the court Stats wise they will end up in their places in history but basketball IQ is so low right now and that isn't being judged properly.

And I'm normally very up to date on stats, but it's just tough to get a read on it rn. LeBron just put up 10+ assists per game for the first time in his career and he's been a great passer on loaded teams for the past 10 years.

In my way of looking at things in regards to stat, I tend to take it at 80% if that makes sense. LeBron averaged like 11 assist this year but on my head canon it is around 8-9 without inflation. Same with points The game right now is meant to maximize stats and put up crazy never before seen numbers. We've seen records damn near broken and set in this first round alone

So, not that we can really get into why, but the Milwaukee Bucks are boycotting game 5 and did not come on the court today.

Wow. Yep, we certainly can't discuss the "why", but this is very interesting to watch unfold.
