Warriors doing what the Lakers should be doing, picking up players on the cheap For real, Lakers are kind of f***ed if Kawhi decides to stay in Tornoto or join the Clippers. I think they think the longer the wait goes on the more Kawhi will stay but the problem is heβs giving Toronto the last pitch. No doubt Drake going have his own pitch as well, they playing a dangerous game

Mavs are looking in on Marcus Morris
I'm sort of surprised he didn't get a good enough deal to take day 1

And I definitely got it. But now it's just waiting for Kawhi.Who is about to break the Lakers heart or give them a heart attack Once Kawhi gets signed then can start speculating on the season as teams start put finishing touches on their roster. Still have guys out their like the Morris twins, Jaymichael Green, and Rondo out their looking for contracts. Anybody still decent out there is probably going to the Lakers if Kawhi doesn't sign

McGruder had a $3 million cap hold already on the team so they are only taking on another $2 million if that assuming it is the same money every year They probably starting him low and having it rise each year

Based upon current free agents, if Lakers miss out on Kawhi, they still have to fill like another 10 roster spots Igoudala seems to be going there once he is cut, and they have been linked to JR Smith as well Filling out the rest of the roster based upon current people not signed, you have one of the Morris twins most likely Marcus, maybe DeMarcus Cousins, Carmelo, Rondo, Lin as names still available tho with each passing day you risk names being taken off the board

Ah yes, I'm sure Lebron can't wait to be reunited with JR Smith.

People like Shannon Sharpe, Chris Broussard and others tend to go hard on the dream of a LeBron/Davis/Kawhi team being so strong that they'll run through everyone and be favorites to win the title... but they hand-wave the fact that now the Lakers have 4 or 5 guys in their whole roster. If the playoffs over the last few years have shown us anything is that having a deep bench to pick up where the starters had the game, or sometimes improve things, is crucial if you want to have a long run. If you have LeBron, Davis, Kawhi and a few others, you want to push the "load management" plan in order to keep your starters fresh but you have no bench, how would that approach be viable in a 82-game long season?

At this point, none of the talking heads care about the details they just want the 3 figure heads and then they will figure out the team For one, Kawhi I doubt is going to be LeBron attack dog. He is going to want his games off like he got this year. AD you have to manage because he is always injured and LBJ while still being a physical specimen suffered his first big injury and he's getting older so you don't want to risk shit with him either. If, someone gets injured and has to sit out they are f****ed. They are basically going to bank on names wanting to come for cheap. I do think they will get these names if they get Kawhi. I think Rondo comes back on the cheap and he'd be a vet they need. JR is a wildcard as we all know, Iggy would help put a big patch on things but he's getting older too. Even if they sign those 3, most likely JR and Rondo are starters and that leaves Iggy and Kuzma on the bench. They need to figure shit out but right now everything is one path to Kawhi in the hopes they get him cause if not, they probably sign a bunch of one year contracts and I could see them trying get Draymond next year who right now will be the biggest name in a weak class
