Kawhi back in Toronto for two years and then another attempt to get someone from the 2021 free agent (Giannis or PG) class to go with him to the Clippers is my guess.

If it were my choice between home and Toronto, I would stay in Toronto for 2 years with a 1 year opt for obvious reasons that would probably not be appropriate for this board. He probably does what Durant did in GS if anything. Do a 1 and 1 until he either signs full time or leave

^^ What do you think of a Spurs/Boogie match, Rican? Eh. Low risk, potentially high reward. I donโt hate it for what the Spurs have left of the MLE and it doesnโt sound like thereโs much of a market for him so maybe he takes it. I donโt know if Pop wants the headache he seems to be at times, though.

I have no doubt heโd be on his absolute best behavior not only because he knows what another prove-it deal means, but because heโll respect the hell out of Pop.

Apparently Kawhiโs meeting with Toronto is maybe happening now. They need to go all LAC/DeโAndre Jordan and show him how much they want him by locking him in a hotel room and hiding his passport

As long as his health hold's up this is kinda brilliant by him. Signing long term for TOR isn't best for business of winning titles or just making the most money. But staying for a year or two gives him a chance to build his legacy and his wallet

Excuse me? Lol what the f*** What other free agents? This sounds like some bullshit because they knew once they lost out on KD it was a full dub and they were an afterthought in Kawhi mind I forgot he had granted them a meeting

The Lakers will be the ones devastated the most if he doesn't come Toronto is basically going to live fat and happy next season if Kawhi doesn't come. He got the chip so at this point anything else is gravy Clippers got a young team on the rise and while Kawhi would take them from last to 1st, they won't die without him The Lakers though.......It continues to astonish me how this one decision could shape them. Also consider the implications on that franchise that 2 guys who wanted to be traded to them, didn't get traded to them and when they had the chance to sign they said nah i'm good. Those 2 guys being PG13 and Kawhi (potentially)

And there are still pieces on the board that while not starting 5 level players can fill out the team like the Morris twins , and soon to be available Kyle Korver.

The team isn't going to suck obviously but I wouldn't put them as heavy favorites with just those two especially with AD injury history Markieff Morris signed to the Pistons today. If they get Korver, he's fine as a 9th or 10th guy in his career at this point on the bench

You can't miss your chance to get 5 replacement level players and Julius Randle. That kind of scenario only comes around every off-season.

Well Lakers got a bit of a kick in the dick with this news
Grizz are looking to trade Iggy instead of releasing him and Rockets and Mavs are interested. Grizz aren't looking for a big return for him, just looking for something
Iggy has drawn significant interest on the trade market and they wouldn't buy Iggy out before the season starts

This is the same franchise that signed Chandler Parsons to that deal?? They're actually really killin it rn. And yeah, I know Parsons got injured. But even before that I didn't think he was much.

Keep in mind they just traded Parsons for Hill and Plumlee which at least will be easier to flip than Parsons himself and they took a flyer on Josh Jackson and only had to give up Korver and Jevon Carter (Who I do like)
