Looks like the biggest reason is the NBA wants any team the Jazz has played in the past 10 days to self quarantine. So basically anyone who has interacted with any of the Suns, Celtics, Wizards, Cavaliers, Knicks, Pistons, or the Thunder in the last two weeks fall within that scope. Yeah, when nearly a third of your entire league is potentially exposed to this, I can see why they made the decision they did, ESPECIALLY considering the rest played an even more varied number of teams that I won't bother to look up right now. |

Looks like one of the reasons for the Kings/Pelicans game being called off was due to one of the referees reffing the Jazz/Raptors game from two nights ago.

Thunder out of quarantine but none of the players got tested. If they get sick, they told them to come back
Utah is stuck tho and being tested thanks to being around Gobert. Jazz will remain in OKC for a bit

Jazz will remain in OKC for a bit The Jazz basically have to get the OK from both Oklahoma and Utah State Health Organizations to leave and return home. Also based on the press release the Jazz put out Gobert had been tested for everything but Coronavirus the last few days and the decision was made to test him for that before the game as a precaution (though all sides are saying that was feeling progressively stronger). |

You said China came back after two months, hopefully it's shorter over here as April will be a little warmer and May is supposed to be quite warm. I definitely wouldn't want to see the playoffs shortened. At least not the Conf Finals and Finals. That'd be blasphemous. |

Assuming it is like China and they have to wait two months, we are looking at potentially middle of May to restart the season but I assume they would just cancel the rest of the games and start the playoffs from there. Maybe give the non playoff teams some type of tournament if they want to do it Realistically, I think the season is shut down for a month as a best case scenario. Only way I see the regular season being able to continue is if things slow down over next two weeks and then they decide to pick up empty arena idea again. There is just too much moving parts to finish out the last 15 or so games tho after missing a month especially when arenas most likely have these days booked unless it gets cancelled |

That's my assumption what will happen. The top 8 in the East is virtually a lock barring a collapse and the top 7 in the West were a lock and Memphis held a 3 game lead for the 8th spot If we assume basketball comes back in a month, they can keep their same regular schedule |
