My personal Top 10 is 1)MJ 2)Kareem 3)Magic 4)Russell 5)Bird 6)Lebron(But he'll over take Bird due to Larry's Peak being shorter) 7)Shaq 8)Wilt 9)Duncan 10)Hakeem(Though Moses Malone comes damn close) Shaq is such an interesting case for me. I never consider him ahead of Kareem or Russell on a list of all-time greats, yet any time I see one of those "Assemble a team with $15" posts on social media or a fantasy draft on 2K, I'm always taking Shaq ahead of any other center, because I feel like, with maybe the exception of mid-90s Hakeem Olajuwon, there was never a center alive who could stop Shaq. He would have just straight-up bulldozed over Russell, Kareem, Wilt, Walton, Parish, Willis, Unseld, or any other legendary center from another era. But he's always removed from the discussion of being in the top-five because his prime wasn't that long, he didn't work hard enough for it, he was too goofy and focused on rapping and acting rather than perfecting his craft, he got fat and let injuries linger, he bickered too much with fellow stars, whatever the issue was. Bill Simmons made a case in "The Book of Basketball" that Shaq's career was like the life of a college student. If he really hunkered down and dedicated himself, he could've been the greatest, but he had fun and was one of the greatest, like how a college student could've graduated with a 4.0 but decided that college should be spent partying and creating memories and settled for a 3.6. It's not the right or wrong way to go about it, but it's the way he chose to go. At his Apex Shaq wasn't just the most dominant Center ever he was better then peak Jordan,Bird,Durant,Kobe,Magic etc. The problem is he was rarely close to his peak and Center's in general fate is dictated by cast even more then other positions which is why he is almost on no one's Mt Rushmore .

As a person that grew up in Utah. Sloan was a amazing person and great spokesperson. For the Jazz! Truly a class act.

Seems like they want to continue the season
All 30 teams on site and basically games will run all day starting at 12 until regular season is finished
I don't really care for that idea

And I'm sure it's from the players. Guys like LeBron have been very vocal about having games before the playoffs. They could e easily do a top 6 in and have the next 4 teams do a play-in series, much like what the NHL is doing. The logistics of getting all 30 teams and playing all remaining games is a f***ing mess. And the upside is playing out the last few weeks of the season, which is normally some of the worst basketball all year. Guys getting shut down, bench players playing 35 mins/night. There's absolutely no reason to risk anyone's health for any f***ing Wizards game rn.

Unnecessary risk to teams that are out of it and the teams firmly in that playoffs for that matter. They could easily just start the playoffs as of the current standings. MLB needs to have a regular season because they didn't start games yet. The NFL in September will need to have a regular season. The NBA does not. If a superstar in the NBA catches the virus from a player on the Knicks because they wanted to finish off a pointless 20-ish regular season games, it would be a terrible look.

Just feels unnecessary as a whole but Silver is trying please everyone Y'all want a month of training camp and then want to finish all regular season games. That is too much you can't have both

They should just start the playoffs as is 3 weeks of intense training champ with maybe a week of scrimmage games so people get their legs back (tho they can do that in training camp) Finishing the regular season is worthless

Just read that Vlade Divac didn’t draft Luka because he didn’t liked Luka’s father. The man deserves to be mocked and banished from the nba forever.

Good news on the Patrick Ewing front: he's out of the hospital. He was the first favorite athlete I had (at least as long as I could remember), so hearing he was in the hospital with COVID-19 was pretty upsetting. I'm glad he's doing a lot better now.

I also agree with your other post. Smith is a bum. I don't even follow the NFL much anymore, but that guy gets them such bad deals that one would think he works for the owners. MLBPA is getting the short end of the stick, but it's different. The NFL players have leverage, they just never use it. The MLB players have less leverage, but they're getting raked over the coals by owners who I still think are colluding (again) on FA spending. The owners are gonna squeeze them as much as they can within, or outside of, the rules. Like agreeing to a salary reduction in March, then wanting to renegotiate in May.

Tony Clark is basically a double agent for the Commissioner.

Smith and now Clark make their players look bad. Smith got taken to school last negotiations and has just gone 100% with Roger has too much power (when you gave him the f***ing power) Clark is another one where he puts the players in a bad position. Roberts is the only one who can actually make me feel sympathetic for the players and you would think it would be the opposite with how much more power the NBA players have.
