My way too early lottery pick draft selections:
1. Minnesota - G Anthony Edwards - Comparison - Donovan Mitchell - Good size and athletic ability. Has work to do on his game. Handles and midrange is a weakness
2. Golden State - G Lamelo Ball - Comparison - Lonzo Ball - Plays just like his brother. Not as good defensively but a better shooter
3. Charlotte - F/C James Wiseman - Comparison - DeAndre Jordan - High motor but is a bit of an unknown thanks to the suspension in College so don't really have a full gauge of his weaknesses besides jumpshot
4. Chicago - F Obi Toppin - Comparison - Shawn Marion - Athletic but stiff so won't be as versatile as Marion. He has the high motor tho
5. Cleveland - F Denji Avdija - Comparison - Hedo Turkoglu - Can handle, can shoot but it is the dreaded high international pick so always a risk
6. Atlanta - C Onyeka Okongwu - Comparison - Montrez Harrell - Another high energy big man, needs to develop a jumpshot but would be a perfect compliment to a jump shooting ATL team
7. Detroit - G Killian Hayes - Comparison - Spencer Dinwiddie - Basically same specs as Dinwiddie in terms of length and game. More of an offensive guard then a playmaker
8. New York - G Tyrese Haliburton - Comparison - Dante Exum - Tall guard, good passer and can score. Going to struggle with a jumpshot as these tall PGs do
9. Washington - G Devin Vassell - Comparison - Shannon Browne - Athletic, competitive, the person to replace Bradley Beal most likely. Not a consistent scorer and can't create own shots
10. Phoenix - G/F Isaac Okoro - Comparison - Justin Anderson - Tough defender and can knock down a shot. All around game needs work
11. San Antonio - F Precious Achiuwa - Comparison - Gerald Wallace - Tough player, middle of the road prospect, Pop type of guy with upside
12. Sacramento - G Theo Maledon - Comparison - Frank Ntilikina - Good all around PG, can shoot, defend, pass etc. Not the most athletic and needs work on consistent jumpshot
13. New Orleans - G Cole Anthony - Comparison - Derrick Rose - Drive first type PG. Change of pace type guard they need from Lonzo. He's good but needs work and needs to want to be coached
14. Boston from Memphis - G Nico Mannion - Comparison - Tony Parker - Being generous with that comparison but the games matchup a bit. Nice Guard off the bench
What I think could happen:
Minnesota should be shopping that pick - Booker may be out their reach but Beal is there
Golden State in same boat as Minnestoa - Can see them reaching out on someone like Beal and trying to move the number 2 pick and Wiggins to get Beal
Those first round picks could go anywhere. Good draft but a lot of the teams are going to draft on needs and if Warriors or Minny trade their picks, it could throw the draft off
