If the Nuggets go get by the Clippers and the Lakers go on to win the title, I can honestly see people (Bayless, Skip) say the win is tainted because LeBron didn't have to face Kawhi.

I actually kinda feel sorry for Harden. Outside of the fact that I have no respect for his game. He played pretty well and Westbrook continues to prove he is not a playoff player. The rest of the starters shot like 30%. He could be a sympathetic character if he would just not flop all over the floor for calls.

Still some "typical Harden" stuff but he didn't pull a disappearing act as he usually does in the playoffs Westbrook might end up being his worst teammate. Even worse than Dwight. The rim was hurting with all this bricks yesterday and his Alpha Male BS is going to clash with Harden at some point. Howard talked behind your back, CP3 told you how he felt to your face while Brodie will be playing like ass and still taking shots and talking shit too.

He went cold at the wrong times (KD did too.) But as a dude who relied on being a very explosive athlete at both ends, now at 31 just looks like a 6'3 PG still in love with a shot that isn't that good (and only was for a VERY short time.) He's regressed at a pretty good clip already, though he had a mini resurgence in numbers in Houston. But I shudder to think how he's gonna look 2-3 years from now. He could end up being a guy that just retires instead of being a bench player or teams just won't want a guy with his big personality/attitude for diminishing returns on the court.

His 1st step isn't there anymore so instead of being explosive he is still a good athlete but so are a bunch of NBA players That line drive shot is ugly. He was actually playing much better when they went small. He stopped taking 3's and took mid jumpshots and floaters which kept the defense honest cause once he makes those he can still run to the basket if they commit. He needs to watch Derrick Rose. The whole reason Westbrook is Westbrook imo is because he wanted to better then Rose. However, Rose while losing that HOF first step and athleticism is still a very good ball player who gets the hole when he wants and can hit jumpshots. Rose has become that sixth man and occasional starter you want. Westbrook is going to be Melo 2.0 if he isn't careful. You better learn to adapt because no one is going to put up with your shit soon

I kinda feel bad for Westbrook, because even though he seems to have lost a step he still is above average when attacking the basket. It's the fact his free throws and midrange shot seem to have regressed so the holes in his game feel more physhological then physical.

The thing is, this has always been Westbrook Those numbers he put up were good but inflated. He was fun to watch as he was all over the court but the holes in his game never fully went away, he just had a crazy stretch Now, he is in a position where he should be looking at himself like okay I need to use myself in a way to help the team but he's going to be arrogant and try to brick his way out of that slump

At least Iman Shumpert ain't getting paid $200 mill On a side note, man these supermax contracts for PG's is a little iffy so far. Jury still out on Dame and Steph but Wall and Westbrook with their contracts is a big chunk of cap you are stuck with

Jury still out on Dame and Steph but Wall and Westbrook with their contracts is a big chunk of cap you are stuck withΒ Dame and Steph should age fine, as long as Steph's ankles hold up. I mean, it's kinda different in hindsight. At the time, you gotta give Russ and Wall and ESPECIALLY Steph and Dame that money because that is what it took to re-sign a superstar and the other option is watch your superstar leave. Same with baseball contracts. A lot of the big ones look bad, but that's the cost of doing business. There are plenty of bad to horrendous mid-range contracts as well, just not as interesting to talk about. You hear more about Allan Houston than you do Erick Dampier.

Oh don't get me wrong, you have to do it especially OKC and Portland. You just bite the bullet and hope for the best Trust me I got time for these bad mid tier contracts. Jerome James 5 years and $30 mill from the Knicks in 05. Erick Dampier fleeced Dallas. Penny Hardaway contract with Phoenix. Eddie Robinson with the Bulls. I know you asking who the f*** is Eddie Robinson, EXACTLY!!!

You got people still talking about how much Bobby Bonilla is making, but cash outweighing production isn't exactly rare. It just sucks more when you're paying John Wall 4 Brinks trucks and he.....wait, he tore it again?? Dollar with wings emoji Crying emoji

D'Antoni done with Houston. As expected I think Indiana is probably where he goes. However, him in Philly would be funny because he is the only one I think can force Ben Simmons to shoot 3's

I knew Pringles man would end up in Philly once Houston gave him the boot lol.
Now what would be funnier is if Phillys former coach now ends up as Houstons new coach as well...just exchanging one crap for another.
