Iβll celebrate the hell out of a small market team spending big to keep their man. Iβll also celebrate Giannis not taking the easy way out to go make a superteam in a bigger βbetterβ market. A win for one small market is a win for all small markets.

Clippers remind me of that kid in high school that thought he was destined to be given the starting QB role because of his enormous potential and god given talent, but then half assed practice to the point where backup QB's with less talent outperform him. Then instead of putting in the physical effort to regain their starting job, the kid just starts whining to people in the lunch room about how good he'll be when it matters. Clippers might still win this series (and the whole thing), but they've shown their hand. They act like they can control their on/off switch but they have proven they can't. This also feels like a team that could explode in the offseason if they lose on Tuesday. That said, I'll still cheer for them over the Lakers and the Celtics. But GO NUGGETS! If they do with the chip, they are going to have a much harder time about it than they should. Like I can see them going to 7 games the rest of the way through.

Deep South is such a great ep. But the problem here is FA is mostly meh. Who would be the add(s) for them? It feels like they're probably gonna overpay for mediocre talent and put them in an even worse position cap wise for basically the same team. FVV, Dragic, Harrell likely to return to their teams. Bertans would be great, but him and Lopez is a little repetitive since Giannis takes up 90% of the minutes at the 4. They really need a combo guard, as Bledsoe is aging and usually injured. Matthews needs to go at SG, and DiVincenzo is solid but isn't really there yet for a team who struggles a lot with secondary scoring. If DeRozan doesn't pick up his player option, that would be one of the rare spots where he would fit IMO. They need scoring badly and that's the only thing he really does well. Melo maybe, but he probably wouldn't chance his fit and career renaissance in Portland.

We have a big night of basketball coming up today. Game 1 of Boston/Miami and Game 7 of LA/Denver. Should be good games.

If the Clippers do the unthinkable and win, it won't be because of Doc Rivers.

Starting with the preseason, they celebrated their upcoming title victory up until the last game they lost. Being "Offseason Champion" is very dangerous.

I know Kawhi himself don't buy into that bullshit it was everyone else because the Clippers is still a bunch of f***ing losers who never won shit Doc Rivers NEEDS to be better. Pandemic P after two MVP seasons is looking real suspect. Pat Bev needs to brush his teeth and stop talking all game. Marcus Morris keeps pissing people off and they come back to torch them For as much depth as they have, the pieces haven't gelled all season and if they lose, heads will need to role. You need people with a championship mindset and not front runners

Here has been my view of both LA teams to now.
Clippers - have great individual players but are not a great team
Lakers - While not a murderers row of great players like the Clippers , they are a much stronger and better TEAM.
And that is the biggest difference between them and has been for most of the season.
Clippers have 2 very obvious and big weakness's.....1 their rim protection is trash even if big Zuu is a good big guy by Joker is making a joke out of him because he can't keep up and they got no playmakers outside of Kawhi and the Lakers have shown this...no 1 man even Lebron can do it by himself...having to shoot , pass , faciliate do everything will wear any player down and Kawhi was gassed at about the 38min mark last game , you seeing the toll it is taking and what is happening to the Clippers because Kawhi is having to play the role Lebron did difference now is Rondo came back and took that pressure off Lebron now where as Clippers aint got playmakers once Kawhi goes to the bench.

Lakers have LeBron James, that's the end all be all
When LeBron is on, he still gets it done as the best player in the world and the fact that he hasn't tried to hinder AD like he has done with teammates in the past is a big positive. He feeds AD cause he knows what he means to that team
The team itself is scrappy. Caruso is that Tristian Thompson hustle guy. Kuzma is the X factor. Rondo is the solid vet LeBron doesn't question.
The roles are known and everyone sticks to it. They live and die on the team as a whole contributing and not just LBJ and AD putting up GOD numbers (tho when they do it is almost impossible to stop them)

I would agree with that. All season, the Lakers put a real emphasis on working together as a team. They were coming together big time in March before everything stopped. They were running like a freight train by that point. The Clippers had too many starts and stops with Kawhi load managing so much and PG missing a lot of games. Pat Bev missed a fair chunk of time as well.

Miami coming out a little flat footed to start.

Miami coming out a little flat footed to start. They had a week off and it is expected I think Boston needs this game more than Miami. If Miami wins, their confidence continues to go through the roof but they are on such a high that I think an L could set them back game 1 and put Boston in the driver seat to be up 2-0
