Wildly entertaining game between the Bucks and Mavs just now. Luka and Giannis both were awesome of course but Brook Lopez went nuts too.
Luka is already so ridiculously good at 21. Unreal.

It almost can't be Simmons unless you're getting a cheap or talented entry level player. Harris, Embiid, and Horford make a shit ton of money. Hard to deal Simmons for a stud player and bring on more salary. You could add Richardson, but it makes the deal harder. I think Simmons for LaVine qould be great for both teams, but again hard to work. Simmons has too much limitations but I think if he got a change of scenery a new coach and system will unlock that potential he is wasting but if you ask me if Iβm going to build a team around him, right now itβs a no They canβt move Horford or Harris after overpaying them. Moving Richardson isnβt going to get you a difference maker. They had it right with the shooters but Brand panicked with Jimmy leaving and not wanting to pay Reddick Moving Richardson with Simmons is only to make the money work. Simmons is the draw for a big return. They'd hope, anyway.

Spurs up by 17 at the half over the Pelicans. If Pels lose and Blazers win later Pelicans are out of the play-in.
Meanwhile if Memphis holds onto this lead they have over the Raptors right now they clinch a spot in the play-in.

They cut it close at the end but Raptors pulled away Raptors is up

Everytime I see Alvin Gentry I can't help but laugh at how much Al Harrington said he hated him

Huuuuge win by the Spurs. Pels are done if Portland wins later.
I hope Derrick White is ok. Heβs been the most important Spur in the bubble and he left the game with a knee injury.

Meanwhile, in the WNBA, it's good to see the Fever are still bad as usual, and are playing for the right to not win the #1 lottery pick.

As people been predicting for a while, Caris LeVert is a dog
He will be a big reason the Nets will contend next year. Blessing in disguise he has no Diwinddie, Irving or KD in the bubble that he has to share time with

As a Sixers fan I don't know how many more times I can see Embiid and Simmons both go down to injuries before I scream "BLOW IT UP" because this Process isn't Processing anything.

Then they sunk so much cash into Horford and Harris that idk if they can even trade them. They really need to try and keep Alec Burks though, best bench player I've seen in awhile on this team.

This is kinda hard to say because for the most part I liked the Pelican's... but I'm glad they are eliminated. Watching the NBA bend over backward to showcase Zion despite him sitting on the bench for the majority of every game was lame as shit.

In fairness, when Zion gets minutes he shows why he is worth all the hype but the Pelicans are worried about the long term and not short so they don't care that cameras is focusing on Zion on the bench because they are sticking to their gameplan

They'd be selling real low on Horford and Harris if they moved them now The team needs a slight revamp to fit either Embiid or Simmons style. A team like Miami who is in win now mode would love to be able to flip trades for CP3 and Embiid Elton Brand has done them no favors with his deals while Brown as a coach has been given a long leash and he's been able to keep his job despite things that has happened with this team

Between Klentak assembling maybe the worst Bullpen ever in the ever growing Phillies money pit, and whatever the hell monstrocity Brand has made in Philly with Brett Brown still at the helm, things really need to start changing because fans are very tired. If the Flyers weren't kicking ass in hocket right now this city would be out for even more blood.

No one is going to pay that much money for that guy at that age for mostly defense. Harris could be moved, but would definitely take adding like a Thybulle or 1sts. Only 4 more seasons taking him to age 31 season for a guy whose game shouldn't age terribly. Way more attractive than dealing for Horford until his age 36 season. But my god what a boatload of money awaits him in the coming years. Didn't realize Simmoms' max kicks in next year. He's probably the prime candidate to move, given teams would be excited by Embiid but probably not willing to be huge on his health long-term.

Which I'd hate to see, because he fits Riley and Spo so well. Great defender, great passer, good rim defender, really coming into his own. But I know he's be gone if Miami thinks they can win a title around Butler/Embiid. But then Simmons/Bam becomes an elite defensive pairing. It's like the two teams would flip personalities in some sort of Freaky Friday scenario. I liked some of Brand's moves, but overall the picture now ends up looking a lot worse than a few years ago. They need shooting and could use some wing defense. They'd probably be better off rn with Redick, Shamet, and Covington than Harris and Horford, but hindsight and everything.

Bam is everything they want from Embiid without the all around offensive game but he's getting there. He will hustle on defense and is one of the better big man passers not named Jokic. I think if the can get a Bam/Herro or Bam/Nunn combo they'd can make shit happen from there. Don't get me wrong, I don't blame Brand for going aggressive as that Butler move could paid off big time but Jimmy being Jimmy ended up having a short stay there. Getting J-Rich in that deal for Butler is going to pay off but they just need better surrounding pieces. The window to contend has closed faster then they thought
