His twitter rants probably aren’t gonna look too favorable in front of the crowd, plus the guy is pretty much his real life character from 4 years ago. He’s much more natural as a heel.

99% assure you that Rollins will be just as over Monday as he was this week. His Twitter comments aren't as important to the live fans as you think.

I'd be interested in seeing him go heel now, but guy's extremely over so it's not like it's something they have to do.

I think they should turn him heel but not because of the tweets as such, since - as others have pointed out - most of the audience don't (and shouldn't have to) try to reconcile tweets with on-screen character.
I think they should turn him heel because the same unendearing traits behind the tweets seem to inevitably bleed through his on-screen character anyway, making him feel ineffective as a face.

He's over as a babyface and one of their top guys. Turning him to try and satisfy people that have only taken against him because he's standing up for their product... would be odd.

I prefer irredeemable slimeball who tries to murder injured/forced retired wrestlers, but he’s still pretty damn over. As long as they don’t stubbornly never ever ever change him, this is fine for now.

Once he completely fails, yes. He's not quite there yet.

The awkwardness of he and Becky as an on screen couple is going to do more damage to him than his dumb twittering.

Not because of his Twitter rants, because I don't care about those, but what I think WWE SHOULD do is this:
Ok so Seth is a face who had redeemed himself, but have him start to slowly slip back into some of his old, scummy ways. (And I know WWE has issues with being subtle, but this is fantasy booking so bear with me here) have him start acting slightly more heelish to the point where even Becky isn't sure what is going on, and thinks maybe he should chill a bit.
Have him keep interacting with Kofi, since they got their wild card rule. Eventually, he gets jealous and spiteful of all the positive attention Kofi is getting, while Seth thinks people are turning their backs on him.
Start a heated rivalry between the two champs, and it leads up to a match at one of the big 4 pay per view, and make it title for title.
If Seth wins, they get unified and keep the Universal lineage. Kofi wins, keep the classic WWE lineage from 1963.
Have Kofi win, and finally give up on the dumb Universal title, because in my view, it hasn't meant a damn thing. If they were so intent on having two world titles, just bring back Big Gold because at least that has history and hasn't been bugged with injuries and Brock hogging from the start like the Universal has. /rant over.
That's what I would do. Even if I do like Seth as a face, I do kinda miss blonde streak, cackling, all black wearing Seth. The guy that destroyed the Shield, cashed in at Mania and damn near was about to cripple a retired wrestler with neck problems.
Edit: I know Becky is popular, but if she eventually joined Seth in being evil and they reigned as a power couple who will screw over anyone who gets in their way, that'd be some good TV.

The company is starved of credible baby faces as it is, never mind a leading flagship guy not called Roman, so turning him because of some Twitter comments that most people won’t see or won’t care about makes no sense.
