It's going to be kinda interesting to see if his AEW commitments will have any impact on how Excalibur handles PWG. Naturally, they probably worked something into his deal to the satisfaction of both parties, but still, makes me wonder.

Are they at least doing something on the off day? Like a Q&A or something?

I really, really hope my boy Ace Perry gets in. He's been hustling HARD to get into this year's BOLA.

He had a great match with Ospraey which is up on YouTube. Well worth watching, he’s got a lot of potential.

Never struck me as the type to go "We're looking to get a weekly show on TV".

Excalibur seems to like where he is, where they sell out plenty easy and make money, but part of that is they don't live beyond their means. Growth can be deadly if you outpace it, but I think he likes it just the size it is.

they're booking a kid for BOLA? Don't laugh. I read he had a good match against Kenny Omega. Cornette was pretty upset about it.

Naturally, they probably worked something into his deal to the satisfaction of both parties, but still, makes me wonder. I think more than just mutual satisfaction, a lot of the moves AEW's been doing have been attempts to pay back the people who've helped them get to the points in their careers where this was possible. The Bucks have talked about owing CIMA a lot for being their first break into Japan, Cody's talked about his time in developmental with Shawn Spears and wanting to pay him back, and obviously PWG was a big part of the Young Bucks rising up post-TNA and for early Kenny Omega's rise, so Excalibur's probably going to have a lot of leeway to be able to do his thing. I don't thnink a deal needed to be worked, I think this is a side gig as a big thank you for some TV time and a big paycheck, but that they're happy letting him keep up PWG around that.

Oh, probably, plus PWG does their own thing and isn't really "competing" with most anybody. They sell out their shows because they don't run year round or anything, and Excalibur seems satisfied with the current size and unwilling to gamble on expanding, with the potential costs involved or how it might damage the feel of the promotion, with its more intimate setting. Makes sense, really, given Heyman killed ECW in part by trying to live beyond their means and a bunch of problems coming with it.

Super Dragon also runs PWG. Excalibur doesn't necessarily need to be around all the time for day to day operations of a promotion that runs 8-10 times per year.

Hey guys, been a while!
Second entrant revealed!
I am hoping for Chris Ridgeway and Chris Brookes (getting rebooked with him hopefully making it this year). Would love to see the return of Human Tornado as he is still working. Pretty sure Banks has worked PWG while under WWE contract, so it would be unbelievable to see Devlin in there to.
