I literally just found out this was a thing. I Googled it and it looks like at least originally it was intended for people to forget about their exes.
I try not to unfriend people and also don’t really add random people anymore. I do make a lot of use of the unfollow feature where you still keep people as a friend, but their updates don’t show up in your feed anymore.
For a few years now I’ve done the bare minimum with social media. I have a Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, but almost never update them. I just keep them around so I don’t have to have that conversation with someone, “What you don’t have Facebook?”
I’ll wish people happy birthday and stuff like that sometimes on Facebook. Looking at Twitter the last retweet I did was in February 2018 and I can’t find what the last original one was. Instagram I only have because I think it got automatically created at some point or maybe my girlfriend told me to set one up. I forget which. I’ve literally never posted anything on it.

All of the damned time. I went on a spree back when a bunch of them started bitching about their "local heritage" being stolen because people did not like them flying the Confederate Flag (P.S., I am from a state that was on the Union side, so it isn't the local heritage at all).

Oh yeah. Few years ago I was in a slump and the majority of my timeline were overbearing. After taking a break on the annoying ones I barely had a timeline at all lol

It’s mostly just wrestling stuff and the odd fan page that I haven’t unfollowed like George Orwell.

Usually about twice a year, I’ll get off Facebook for a few months. Hell, mines deactivated right now and he been for about 6 weeks. I’m trying to hold off until at least after summer.

That is why I am very picky about who I add to my friends list. And also block lots of people. Not that hard to filter out the idiots.

Or linking to some classic southern wrestling they have found on the net. Hell most of what I post is either pics of my dog or latest hauls from the thrifts. Or matches I have filmed.

Facebook is kinda like the golden age of the mid-2000s when people migrated from message boards (not like this one). At first it's just a minority, then it's about half then before you know it the site is dead. It's a huge network, so it's going to take longer but the framework has already started. I've already seen probably 25% of my friends either delete or become inactive. People are still there out of habit, but make no mistake, it is dying.

I know a bunch of people that only keep their FB accounts to use the messenger feature. I use FB mostly for messenger plus to promote the matches I film and other vids I make.
And can't forget I use it to post cute pics of my dog.

I have not.
I freaking love my facebook, but a lot of that is because I intensely curate who and what is on it. It takes a lot of work to keep it positive but I manage.

Because of the current political and social climate, I limit my Facebook use and unfollow alot of people because it can become so damn depressing. I live in cali but I was born and raised in NYC, so I use it to keep up with everyone from home... I mainly use Instagram because I take pics of action figures in action (wrestling, superheroes, 80s toys, stuff like that) because it provides me a creative outlet and with all the negativity out there, I think seeing something that might make you smile for 10 seconds is better than watching a video of self proclaimed "savages" squaring up in the street while people yell "Worldstar".
