I only just realised this was made X-Box One compatible yesterday, and playing it again reminds me of why I love this game so much. Awesome soundtrack, just batshit insane, and they got Ozzy, Rob Halford, Lemmy, Lita Ford and Tim Curry to voice characters.
As a massive metalhead, it still blows my mind even now hearing that opening riff of Sabbath’s “Children of the Grave” in the small tutorial.
Anyone else a fan of this game?

It was a good game but it tried to be too many things. It it had of just been an adventure game it would have been great. But then it added elements of Grand Theft Auto and Command and Conquer simulation fighting.
The humour and voice work were great and the soundtrack was awesome.

Yeah the multiple different genres got irritating. However

It took me a while to get into the stage battles, but beyond that I enjoyed the rest of the gameplay, the story and, obviously, the soundtrack. I know there's still been some talk about a sequel release from a couple years ago, but since I have no plans on buying a new system after my Switch, there's a good chance I wouldn't be playing it even if it was made.

I genuinely loved the game aside from one tiny little thing that became such a major sticking point to me and felt so weird in a game like Brutal Legend not to have.
The lack of a jump.
It was one of those things that once I noticed I couldn't jump, I couldn't not think about it and what a design flaw it felt like.

Feels like one of those games where everything about it is awesome... except for the gameplay itself.
