I had a whiff Rockwell was considered but I never knew Feige preferred Rockwell over RDJ. Wow. Thank goodness for Favreau. Yeah, Rockwell had actually been offered the part initially when Favreau was getting the most pushback from the studio over RDJ. He was seen as a safer – and cheaper – choice, though RDJ ultimately wound up getting paid "just" $500k. By way of apology Favreau cast Rockwell as Justin Hammer in the sequel without ever considering anybody else for the role, and I think most would agree that was a better fit all round.

Justin Hammer's dance in Iron Man 2 is better than most of the efforts of Phase 4. And compared to Phase 4, Disney did not financially harm any VFX artists in the making of that scene.

John Krasinski or no buys! Nah, JK jobbed hard in Doctor Strange 2. To rehab Reed's image, the MCU needs a new actor as a palate cleanse. Don't know if I would have pegged Driver for the role... thought he'd want to skip out on franchise work after the sequel Star Wars trilogy.

I really want to see a non idiot JK Reed get his time to shine. I really don’t get the appeal of Driver, but Hollywood sure loves him. The only time I really liked the guy when he was the “UH-OH” guy Inside Llewyn Davis. He just always feeling like he’s acting (or Star Wars overacting) instead of just playing a role, and hes tall and lanky with that lion face, it’s like watching a character from the polar express, something doesn’t feel right when he’s on screen. Then I again I felt this same way about Cumberbatch until Dr. Strange. Will Farrell too I can only stand him in Elf.

I thought Driver was great in Marriage Story (and ScarJo as well, for that matter). I'm willing to give him a shot if it's true.

I figured he'd be more in line for Doom role tho

My favorite Adam Driver role was as a decrepit oil baron in SNL. That was hilarious. I don't know if I would buy him as Reed looks-wise, but I think he can make it work from an acting standpoint. He was really good in Marriage Story and BlackkKlansman.
He could be a great Doom, too. But I get why he'd want to stay away from masked villains for awhile lol.

Assuming they want a whole new X-Men cast instead of bringing back Fassbender, McAvoy etc...(which is most likely the case) he could fit as Beast as well. I think his size works for him there and he could play the conflicted character well

Driver’s weird for a few reasons: his imposing figure. Being tied down in the MCU seems uncharacteristic. It’s clear they want a drawing figure for the role though. If they hadn’t used Garfield & Gyllenhaal already, I’d think they’d be okay choices. John David Washington is someone who’s getting a lot of play in Hollywood.
Curious who gets cast, what with them being heavy hitters. Curious about Doom, most of all.

Esposito would been good but he wants Xavier which I am all for. Madds Mikelson would been a good choice but he already played a role tho that hasn't stopped them before but he was a major villain. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau I think would also make a good Doom. But I can see fans wanting Henry Cavill

You need someone who can ham it up as an extremely egocentric character to play Doom. Someone who can command your attention. This is a character who once said, with a straight face, that he found being a literal god was beneath him.

I don't think this technically belongs in here, because it's the Sony Spider movies, not the MCU proper, but MAN, I hope that the Kraven movie is good. He's far and away my favorite Spidey villain, and I hope they do him justice.

Just thought….when we get the big multiversal Portals moment in Secret Wars…Tom Holland needs to get Tobey and Andrew appointed honorary Avengers after that talk in No Way Home.

Which brings up a funny question Make everyone forget Peter Parker is Spiderman. The actual Peter Parkers will remember he is Spidey right?
