If they needed a female herald for Galactus, why not Nova or Stardust?

I just wanna know their reason why
Because this isn't like they are doing Nova...which would make actual sense if they wanted a female herald.
This is fundamentally changing everything about the character and it feels like it was done just to do it.

I actually wouldn't mind seeing Mike Bucci or Cody Rhodes in a Marvel movie, personally.

It's why I suggested Stardust, given her character has been one that kills the inhabitants on planets before summoning Galactus. They could also make her a being composed of water like The Avengers cartoon did instead of pure energy as in the comics
She could arrive as the first boss of the Galactus era and attack and The Fantastic Four stops her and in anger tries to destroy the planet which irritates Galactus who calls her back as he needs the planet to feed on who takes away her powers and exiles her. The stinger would show him discovering Zenn La and Norrin Rand

I really thought it was parody until I saw it a few times lol. Well, I mean, 🤷. Just gotta wait to see how it plays. Bold. And not for the gender reveal itself but just in terms of grand vision optics.

I mean the whole theory is that the movie isn’t even in the MCU so they can do their little thing and when the Four end up in the main MCU we can get our real Surfer when Galactus comes to feed on Earth. Maybe they fail miserably and Galactus wins leading the Four having to retreat into say the Quantum Realm which leads them to the MCU. Reed would be obsessed with not letting Galactus destroy this Earth too…maybe even leading to an uneasy alliance with Doom.

This is a nothing burger to get upset with.
It's plain as day Norrin Rad will show up in the future, he's not being thrown away, he's being saved for an Avengers style movie.

There’s nothing about the character that has to change with making the character a woman. It’s a dumb thing to get upset about.
If anything I have a bigger problem with diving straight into Galactus in the first movie.

And going straight to Galactus is a red flag, he like Thanos is The Final Boss that everyone has to band together to fight against. You don't use him in your first movie. I'm kinda fine with it, if they take the Infinity War route and have him lay waste to everything to thoroughly establish that he is indeed The Final Boss. You can then have everybody looking over their shoulders, dreading his return for however many movies it takes to build up to that.

Have end credits where people are like “Another planet? Oh crap, that means he’s closer” with a shot of Galactus where we know it’s him but we don’t fully see him each time.

Plus with the underwhelming performance of a few of the more recent movies, having a big spectacle to get people talking is as good an option as any. In theory, anyway.

I mean, I’m not happy with it. Why swap genders for someone like Silver Surfer? And yes, I know about Juno. Hopefully this is her and not the one we all know. Looking up the Deadline article, she's playing Shalla-Bal. Maybe now this'll convince Marvel to undo Slott's ridiculous heel turn of hers from his Doctor Who Silver Surfer run

Jumping straight into silver surfer and galactus? That seems like a poor plan for the FF. They should be doing something low-key with like Blastaar or similar, so they can focus on character development and story of the actual four.

Only thing that could really make a difference with changing Surfers gender is the relationship with Alicia Masters and the Thing. Thing loves Alicia, she is close to Surfer, jealousy and angst for Thing.

They can also go the 90's cartoon route (at least from what I remember) where the FF kinda convince him to take a galaxy food tour elsewhere and then return to Earth at a later date, when they'd be more prepared. In this case, more prepared being "we have the Avengers" or something.

Omitting him like they are doing takes away part of Galactus' character.

I like this casting. I'm happy to finally see a Silver Surfer in the MCU.
Now bring back Ghost Rider.

I'd love to see an Avengers movie that ends with a post-credits scene where the camera pulling farther and farther out until you can see all of Earth, and maybe even another few planets. A flash of silver streaks towards Earth, and a familiar looking purple helmet slowly begins creeping into frame before it cuts to black and the Marvel logo.
