Matalas polished the hell out of the turd that was Picard, so I'm geeked that they snatched him up.
I believe he was show runner on 12 Monkeys too, which I did not watch but heard great things about.

They continue to go after a market that is simply not there. Well the 97th time is the charm I guess I don't get Disney's and Marvel's obsession with trying to make characters nobody cares about into big stars. Just because GOTG blew away all expectations doesn't mean everything will.
Remember when they axed X-Men and gave a Cena push to The Inhumans of all things and the fanbase flat out rejected them?
That had more to do with fox having movie rights for the xmen and marvel wanting something xmen esque to be able to make movies of. It was hubris to think that they could completely change the nature of the inhumans or bomb the xmen into oblivion, but then those are the same people who thought spider-man: one more day was a good idea and not character assassination.

Let’s be honest. Ironheart is a thing because it’s a way to get Robert Downey Jr back in the MCU even if it’s only voicing Riri’s suit system.

That wasnt Marvel but Perlmutter specifically. I cant imagine anyone else really thought it was a good idea. Feige dumped the Inhumans movie as soon as he had control of the films.

Perlmutter was advised by multiple people – including Feige, Joe Quesada, and Alex Alonso, who had to carry the burden of trying to make it work – about what a boneheaded move it was, but it's not the first time he's been willing to cut off his nose to spite his face. The Inhumans movie was one of the final straws that saw Feige convince Bob Iger to split Marvel Studios away from Marvel, while Matt Fraction, who'd pretty much been shanghaied into working on the Inhumans comics relaunch more or less quit working for Marvel altogether before an issue had even dropped. What a ridiculous mess.

The only good Inhuman related content to come out of that mess either is completely ignored (Agents) or was given the reverse Quicksilver/Scarlet Witch and partially retconned to mutants (Kamala).

What a ridiculous mess. Specifically, the final straw was Ike basically holding Black Panther and Captain Marvel hostage to make Kevin do Inhumans, which lead to some rare poetic justice in corporate Hollywood: Black Panther and Captain Marvel both ended up doing a billion dollars, with the former becoming a whole cultural touchstone, while Inhumans was relegated to television and remains one of Marvel Entertainment's biggest failures. Everything after that, from Death of the Inhumans, to the amazing Krakoa saga, to the only Inhuman most people actually like (Ms. Marvel) being made a mutant, was just icing on the cake.

Word coming out is apparently Giancarlo Esposito’s character is part of the reshoots and he’ll supposedly be a villain.

Supposedly a partial plot synopsis of Thunderbolts* was put out there by DanielRPK… {Spoiler}{Spoiler}…with Yelena, US Agent, Ghost and Taskmaster being sent to a vault to eliminate a target and they realize Val sent them to die and decide to team up to take her down.
Only way this makes sense is if maybe they do pull the Dark Avengers card but Zemo is working with Val and has his own true to comics Thunderbolts put together with Raft inmates. Zemo hates supes so it would make sense for that connection if Val was gathering supers just to kill them.

You'd think by now studios would realize that pouring endless money into extensive reshoots in response to poor test screenings almost always just results in the movie still being shitty but costing you even more and taking a ton of bad press getting there.

You'd think by now studios would realize that pouring endless money into extensive reshoots in response to poor test screenings almost always just results in the movie still being shitty but costing you even more and taking a ton of bad press getting there. It so rarely works out, especially in test screening-led cases, I wonder why they even bother. Independence Day had a fairly significant reshoot in which Randy Quaid had almost every other scene from the original cut replaced. Originally his character was an even more hardened alcoholic and has a much more contentious relationship with his step-children (one such scene was restored for the Director's Cut, in which the elder son tells him he's "Just the drunk who married their mother"). When he volunteers for the final battle he's rejected outright, so steals a missile and straps it to his crop dusting plane with the intention of taking it on a suicide run against the alien ship. Test audiences hated it, so his redemption arc was written and filmed. The only other major reshoot that worked that came as a result of test screenings that I can think of is Little Shop of Horrors, which originally stayed true to the musical's ending. Of course, that movie flopped at the box office and only became a hit thanks to home video sales, so your mileage on whether the reshoot worked or not may vary.

One of the rumors going around is that The Inhumans from the TV show are appearing in Secret Wars.
Someone didn’t tell Black Bolt this information.
Seriously, I always love to see these SEO/headline baiting places get the stuffing knocked out of them.

Knowing petty ass Feige they’re all dying. The point is more that it’s likely not happening. SNW was filming during Deadpool and Wolverine would have been filmed so it was likely impossible to do anyway. EDIT: Or at least one set of reshoots anyway.

The clickbait is saying they’re appearing in Avengers 6…probably in that big battle scene they’re saying will put Portals to shame. Thing is their haven’t even figured out what the hell they’re doing with Kang Dynasty let alone the finale. I doubt they even have finished scripts on those two films yet. Now Captain America: Brave New World is on its new set of reshoots.

If there was any hint of it, he’d have signed a 60,000 year embargo until filming finished or something.

To be fair…he very well could be in Avengers 6 in that scene but I doubt they’re gonna start making people sign up until they know when that scene will be filmed. Lots of other productions to work around.
