Apparently the First X-Men film will not be having Wolverine in it. No 'Wolverine Publicity' is good publicity. Give the audience a well-earned rest and not have them immediately compare the Logan they get in the MCU to the Logan that just settled into the MCU

Apparently the First X-Men film will not be having Wolverine in it. I love Wolverine, but I am kinda glad. Wolvie in it would mean the movie became the Wolverine show. I like the rumoured lineup, but I think I would remove Gambit. I have always found him boring as a character unless he's with Rogue. I'd have liked the best X-Man, Shadowcat, to have appeared. Shame the X-Men rosters are so stacked--there's always going to be cool mutants who didn't make the cut. So... villain for X-Men MCU? I hope they don't go the Magneto route. I'd like to see someone different--Mr Sinister is the obvious choice. But could also go Nimrod, Omega Sentinel and the Sentinels. I'd like to see an adaptation of the Morlock Massacre, but I think that would need prior establishing of the Morlocks. I understand withholding a new Wolverine. Plus they probably wanna squeeze what they can out of Jackman. But I can’t see them introducing Charles and not Magneto. He doesn’t have to bet the villain but I think the casting is going to be like McKellen and Stewart where they’re kind of pillars for the series. I could be wrong 🤷 There’s a rumor out there that the plan for Spidey 4 on the street level was suppose to be him and DD, kingpin , scorpion, prowler, etc. Allegedly what we might get is {Spoiler}{Spoiler}Knull as the big baddie. Holland Spidey and Hardy Brock team up. . I can’t lie, if that’s the plan sign me the f*** up. I don’t care, I know the former plan would make the better movie but idc, I want the latter.

I think it'd work with just Charles and not Magneto. They could have Magneto sorta mentioned in the background to set him up for a potential future movie -- a news report in the background about Magneto or something. But I think we've seen enough of Magneto in the X-Movies. I'd like to see someone else. Sinister is the obvious choice. Arcade could also be a fun one. Maybe they could adapt the Murderworld Saga but with mutants.

Mojo could be a fun "let's get weird" choice.

I'd go with extremists like The Friends of Humanity and Graydon Creed

It's a good thing the X-Men's themes about prejudice just aren't at all relevant anymore. ..... ..... Oh.

I'd go with extremists like The Friends of Humanity and Graydon Creed I'd have them in the background. The discourse surrounding that is gonna be fun if it happens 🫣

Honestly I'd go with them dealing with some small time foes in the first half like the above mentioned friends of humanity or a group of minor x-men criminal mutants like say Arclight, Gorgeous George, Solarr and Vertigo and then have the big bad being Juggernaut coming for Charles so they have to all work together.

The fact Agatha's out in six hours and we don't have any reviews yet is striking me as a really bad sign.

There is an embargo until release day Always a great sign. Though not as bad as The Crow's embargo, which lifted the day after its release.

There is an embargo until release day Right, just typically that isn't exactly reflective of the studio thinking they're putting out quality content. Though really in general review embargos are stupid anti-consumer bullshit and shouldn't exist.

She just got a meme due to her song and they thought people wanted a show about her.
If they had done a sequel to Werewolf by Night, with Elsa Bloodstone hunting supernatural monsters, I would be more interested.

So I just watched the first episode, moving on to the second, and so far... Ehhhhhhh? I don't think this is a strong pilot but it feels like it gets better as it goes. It wastes way too much time on the opening stuff, since you know from the premise what the big mystery reveal they're building up to is and it really didn't need to take like 25 minutes to get there, but once you've got Agatha back in form it picks up a lot. That said a thing I do think is very clear in this episode is that the acting is really carrying this show; what charm there is in it does kind of feel like it's coming from the charisma of the performers, especially Kathryn Hahn, and there are so many terrible comedic parts that basically just boil down to saying a random cliche or stock joke then someone saying, "Kiss my ass," in response; the script feels very lazy and phoned-in thus far, kind of treating being deadpan and irritated as a substitute for actually having to write jokes. Going to go ahead and watch the second since I think there are signs there might be a good show in here but it doesn't put the best foot forward. Edit: Second episode is a lot better than the first. Do feel like the show does feel like it's kind of drowning in trying to establish a lot in a hurry and kind of lore dumping a lot of stuff without really clearly explaining most of it but as the dynamics of the characters settle into place and you start seeing how they bounce off each other it quickly starts feeling like a much more solid project, and the humor felt a lot more on point in this one. Still not quite in love with it but at least willing to see where it goes so far. {Spoiler}So them bringing up a person known only as a "black heart" was 100% baiting the Mephisto speculation, right?
